-------------------------------Liam POV
"I thought I already make it clear for you to take a rest since last Friday, Mr. Cunningham. I never advise you to add another injuries like this." Susan shook her head disappointedly while treating Callum bruises and cuts.
"Sorry... I didn't mean to cause you anymore trouble, Ms. Susan." He winced when Susan clean the wound on his temple.
"No, that's not what I mean." Susan sighed. "I'm just worried about you. You need to take care your body, not the other way around. Did someone hit you again this time? Earlier a boy in your grade, Mr. Floyd, also came here with bruises on his face. I have a feeling your injuries has something to do with him. Is it true?" Callum looked at her with a scowl before answer her with a nod.
I was now leaning on the wall beside the bed crossing my arms on my chest, waiting Susan to finish her treatment for Callum. She had attended his injuries on his shoulder and hands. Now she was treating Callum's wounded face. His friends and his twin refused to leave Callum's side just like I did so we stuck in the infirmary together. Susan kept chasing us away to get back to our class but none of us move an inch from this place.
If you take a look at Callum's injuries, it wasn't a surprise that everyone would be worry about him. His face and small body covered with cuts and bruises. One of his eyes was black and swollen while the other one still had a purple color from the last incident. He had cut on his bruises temple. His already busted nose was heavily bleeding and the corner of his lips cracked open. It didn't look any better compare to last Friday but at least today's injuries were slightly okay than the previous one.
Not that it was a good thing, but at least Callum still be able to walk and talk normally and not breaking down like before. He even worried about me being sad even though it was suppose to be me who should be worry about him, not the other way around. Callum's last injuries haven't healed completely but suddenly this shit happen again.
I feel like an ass to let this happened to him. For the second time I was too late to come to his side so I couldn't do anything about it. It pissed me off really bad. No, scratched that. It made me furious. I just took my eyes off him for a second and than someone dare to do this to him.
I clenched my hands hard until it turned white. I really need a smoke or a drink now. But Callum hated it, said that it was bad for my health or taste horrible when we kissed, that's why I tried to cut off lately. I took a deep breath and exhaled, try to calm myself down. I was ready to punch anyone around me but I didn't want to add any collateral damage just because I was angry.
I remember I was still in the middle of the first period when someone in class started to spread around text about some fights happened among the juniors. I didn't bother at first since I thought it was none of my business but not until people start to send the fighting video. I noticed something was off from the way they keep glancing back at me, which I returned with a glare to scare them off. And it did work and make them mind their own fucking business.
However Mark, one of my buddies, suddenly urged me to saw the video because it had something to do with my 'baby boy', which mean Callum. Yes, Mark knew that I was going out with Callum. When he told me that, I immediately watched it on my phone. The moment I saw Callum's face being beaten up by a guy twice his size made my heart stop. I could feel my blood was boiling inside.
I jumped from my seat and dashed to go outside of my classroom, not bother with the teacher's yelling. I ran straight to Callum's class as fast as I could but by the time I've got there the commotion already died down. I was too late. I only saw some teachers were managing other students to get back inside the classroom.
