Song for this Chapter: Crywolf & Eden - Stomach it
---------------------------------------Callum POV
Connor was mad at me.
I tried to explain the truth about the incident with Mason at the party but he wouldn't listen. Connor wouldn't talk to me and kept his distance. He evaded me like a plague whenever he saw me at home.
Once I had the chance to tell him, that Mason was the one who made the first move that night, Connor didn't believe me. He said that I was a liar and made things up as an excuse to cover up my mistake. He even said that I was obsessed with my unrequited love for Mason and that gave me the reason for 'seducing' his boyfriend and not the other way around.
Unbelievable right?
So I gave up on him. Talking to Connor was like talking to a brick wall. When Connor had put his mind into something he wouldn't listen to anyone especially if it was me who were talking to him.
It wasn't a surprise that Connor wouldn't believe me. Connor often disregarded everything I said just like my parents when they were with me so it was nothing new. Connor didn't trust me when I said about Keith last time so why would he bother if it were about Mason now?
My brother believed in Mason and thought that jerk was innocent. If I were not the victim myself, I would probably have the same thought as my brother. Mason was not the type of a person who would hurt someone. He was gentle and very kind so it was impossible for him to do such low thing as to forced himself into someone more over if that someone was me, his best friend and his lover's twin brother.
I know that night Mason was under influence with alcohol or maybe some sort of drug so thing could be different compared to normal circumstances. But again who would believe me if I told someone? No one saw he attacked me that night. It was my words against his. If my own brother wouldn't believe in me, who would?
Alaina?
Maybe, but it was hard to talk with her now. She was too busy dealing with her new social life with Dylan, Connor and of course Mason himself. She never had the time for me anymore, not when her hands full with his boyfriend and cool kids' activities.
Lately at school our conversation was only started by 'hi' and ended by 'bye' in quick motion. Whenever I called her either she didn't pick up or she cut it short because she was in the middle of something fun with her new 'BFF' squad. When I invited her to hangout, she often gave me empty promises or left me hanging and canceled our plan in last minute. It made me upset but there was nothing I could do about it.
I noticed our friendship started to grew apart after I dated Liam. We kept avoiding and ignoring each other for far too long before we made up not too long ago. Maybe she didn't think of me as her best friend anymore? I think it was normal if people would choose to befriend popular kids rather than a loser like me.
Alaina seemed happier with her new circle of friends. It was different when she was with me. I was a boring guy while Alaina was a fun lovely girl. Besides she was a real beauty and it was a waste to hangout with a nobody like me. With Dylan by her side she belong to the other side of the group, the popular one. Therefore her reason was understandable. It was just a matter of time before Alaina would forget all about me and we'd become a total stranger.
That's what high school did to you.
From all of those people around me, Liam was the only person who I thought would listen. Sadly we broke up so I didn't have the reason to tell him about it. He used to be the only person who would believe in me no matter what I said. The only guy who would worry about me or even get mad for my sake. But it was all in the past now so I need to move on. I couldn't cling on him forever. From now on, I need to take care of my own problem and not to depend on anyone else.
