Corey came up about a week after I had first went to the beach. He was going to be staying with us for a WHOLE WEEK! I heard a knock on my front door, and I knew exactly who it was. "Come in!" I said as I ran to the front door.
Corey leaned on my doorframe. "Hey, baby!" He side smiled, his suitcase in his hands.
"Corey!" I threw myself on him.
"Hi, Anna. Is your mother here?" Corey's mom peeked out from behind Corey, some of Corey's bags in her hands.
I suddenly felt self conscious. "Umm, yeah. Come in." I slipped out of Corey's arms and walked inside. I let Corey's Mom pass, but stepped in front of Corey. He smiled down at me, then looked up. "See ya, ma."
"Have fun, honey. I'll pick you up around six on Sunday."
"Okay."
She came back down, and I stepped out of the way. "Have fun. I love you." She kissed his forehead then hugged him.
"Love ya too, mom."
I took his hand and led him downstairs. He stopped next to the old nursery. "Hey, baby."
I smiled. "Hey."
"I don't think I got to properly greet my girlfriend." He kissed me. My body rose up, everything feeling lighter. When our lips parted, I was smiling even more.
"Did you bring your swimsuit?"
He raised his eyebrow. "I wasn't told to. And I want a new one, anyway."
I clapped my hands. "That means SHOPPING!" I grabbed his hand and ran up stairs. "Mom! Corey needs a swimsuit!"
Mom looked at me, then at Corey. "Okay. Then, let's go to Marquette." She grabbed the car keys. I put on my red converse.
"Red? Nice. But. . . I think mine are better." Corey shoved his foot in my face.
I scrunched my nose and pushed his foot away. "Nah, I think my reds are better then your blacks, you stink foot!"
"Really?"  He wrapped his arms around me, ignoring the insult. I finished putting on my shoes and stood up, but Corey didn't let go. Instead, he pulled me down again. I laughed. "Corey, ha ha! We have to go!" He kissed me.
"Do we have to?"
"Well, don't you wanna go to the beach?"
"Well, I don't mind just staying here with you."
"I'd like that too, but I wanna go shopping. Please, babe?" I made a puppy dog face. That's right, I broke out the face. Now he'd HAVE to say yes!
He looked into my blue puppy eyes and looked at his. He groaned. "Fine."
"Yay!" I got up, and this time, Corey let me slip from his grasp. He gave me a, "help me up" look. I held out my hands, and he took them.
