We spent the rest of the day sitting downstairs watching MTV. I was curled up by Corey. He had his arm around me, and was stroking my back. Suddenly, Corey jumped up and held out his hand. I gave him a look.
He laughed. "Dance with me! You know, dance? When you move your feet?"
I took his hand. "I know what dancing is! I'm just not very good at it. . . ."
He put an arm around my waist. "Have you ever Salsa danced before?"
"Have YOU ever salsa danced before?"
"Ha ha! No, not really. But I've watched some show about it!"
I threw my head back and laughed. "Well, hopefully one show is enough so you don't kill us, ha ha!"
"I've heard it has some. . . " He did some quick dance moves, moving right and left so fast I couldn't really process what was going on. "Spice, to it." He had a little grin on his face.
I laughed and took his hand then put my other hand on his chest. "We can try when we actually know how, ha ha. Why don't we just stick to slow dancing for now?"
"Ooh, okay."
We danced for a little bit. "Ooh! Ooh! I just remembered something!" I said.
"What?"
"An exchange student taught me how to do part of a dance. A waltz, I think. Simple!"
He smiled. "That one German girl?"
"Yup. Now, follow my lead. When I put my right foot forward, you put your right foot backwards. Ready?"
"I guess. . . ."
I put my right foot forward, and he put his back. "Good! Same with the other." I put I left foot forward, and he pulled his back. "Nice! Now you step forward with your right foot, like I did." He did, and I moved back. "Good! Got it?"
"It's pretty simple. I think I got it."
"Well, it took ME awhile to get it. Of course I wasn't looking at my feet, AND I was having a conversation."
He looked up. "Fine. Then that's what I'll do. So, what do you wanna talk about?"
"How confident you look. You really think you're not gonna mess up." I whispered, "You know, it's kinda sexy. How confident you are."
As a reply, his foot stepped on mine. I smiled. I realized he was blushing, and stuttering. "You messed up his concentration. I bet he's gonna say that. That and something flirty!" "But I guess it was in vain."
Soon enough, I got my answer. "W-well, you. . . you. . . messed up my concentration! I. . . I wasn't eh. . . I wasn't expecting that." He rubbed his neck. My brain was partially right, but he was too. . . out of it, for lack of better words. . . to say anything cute. I tilted my head and smiled up at him. "Aww! You're so cute when you stutter!"
His face got red. "Yeah? Ha ha. . . . I'm so off right now!"
"Well, usually YOU'RE the one taking the shots, ha ha! But now I'M in the driver's seat! And I'm gonna tell you. . . you are so hot right now." I bit my bottom lip. "Poor Corey. You're messing with him, haha! You are evil!" I admit, I was having fun messing with him. I was leading him on, and I don't think he knew it!
"Well, let me show you how hot I am. . . with no clothes." He smiled.
Oh jeez. He was back. But I was having so much fun! I leaned in closer to him, my head on his shoulder and my breath on his neck. "You know, if we went to the guest room. . . ."
I slipped out of his grip. "You've got him eating out of your hand, now!" A small smile crossed my lips as I heard Corey scramble behind me. I ducked into the guest bedroom that was littered with Corey's things. Corey practically ran inside, hurriedly taking his shirt off and rammed into me, knocking me onto the bed. His kiss was hungry, yearning for something we were so close to getting. I rose up to meet him, my kiss as hungry as his. He wrapped his arms around me, and rolled me on top of him. My hands went to his hair, gently tugging it. He moaned, my hips moving up and down. I stopped everything, and smiled. "Sorry, babe. You can't get it THAT easily." I lifted my finger and touched the tip of his nose.
He smiled then shook his head. "A man can dream, right?"
I nodded. I rolled off of him then got up, or at least tried to, but Corey's arm was wrapped around my waist. "Babe! Ha ha!" I laughed as I got pulled down again. He cuddled me and kissed my neck. "Stay for a little bit more, pleeeaase?"
"Ha ha! You KNOW I want to, I REALLY do. . . . But. . . ugh! You know, you make it really hard to be the good girl!"
"Well, be a little bad and stay with me?"
I rolled onto him and whispered, "Listen. One day we can sneak away for a little bit and. . . you know. . . ." I bit my lip. He ALWAYS loses it when I do that. I started to trace his chest. "But-"
He looked upward, his voice strained. "Can you PLEASE stop making that face!? And get off me."
"You did something wrong!" I got off. "Cor, what's wrong?"
He still had a strained voice, his face was reddening. "N-nothing." But then the covers made what was wrong perfectly clear. . . .
My face got red. "Oh, sorry."
"Yeah. Tends to happen when you do stuff like this!"
I closed the door. Even for us, that was awkward. After a while, he came out. I stood there, awkwardly standing next to him, occasionally glancing down. Everything was normal. Finally, he spoke.
"It's normal, it happens. It's the way of life. Normal."
"Yeah, I know. Your little friend was just saying hi!" I nudged him.
His face got red and he started laughing.
I laughed, too. "You made this SO MUCH more awkward than it actually need to be." Yeah. . . . "You wanna. . . ." I pointed to upstairs.
"Yeah."
I walked upstairs with Corey behind me. "Hey mom."
"Hi sweetie! Hi, Corey! Everything good?"
"Everything's great!"
"Good. And Corey, you're settling in fine?"
"Yes ma'am!"
"Good."
We sat down in the living room and watched whatever mom was watching for a while. But then it got boring, so I got up. "Mom. Do you think we could go ride bikes?"
"Sure honey. Just don't be gone too long?"
"Yeah. We won't be."
"Go ahead. Oh, but Corey doesn't have a bike, and Aaron's would be too small."
"He can ride my old one. . . ."
We looked at Corey. He shrugged. "Sure. Got nothin' better to do."
"Great!" I took his hand and lead him to the door.
