Epilogue

"Congrats dude!"

Isang matalim na titig ang ibinigay niya kay Mason.

"Shut up."

"O.. ang black eye.. wait plural nga pala no? Sorry, black eyes pala." Ani Mason na humagalpak ng tawa.

Gigil na kinuha niya ang dalawang icepacks na nasa mesa. Akmang ihahampas na niya ang mga iyon dito ng hawakan ni Dreena ang dalawang braso niya.

"Nicklause.." Ang nagbababalang wika nito.

He grunted before puting the icepacks down. But not before giving Mason a death glare.

"I'm so so sorry for what my cousins did.." Tukoy ng dalaga sa blackeyes niya sa magkabilang mata. "I didn't know Errick would do it too."

Ang black eye niya sa kanang mata ay galing kay James. He was so stunned when she told him she's preganant with their baby... so stunned that he wasn't able to dodge a punch from her cousin who happened to hear the shocking news too.

Ang suntok naman sa kaliwang mata niya ay nangyari noong ipinaalam na nila ang tungkol sa ipinagbubuntis ni Dreena sa lolo at sa pinsan nitong duke. Kung tutuusin ay kayang kaya naman niyang iwasan ang suntok ng huli ngunit mas pinili niyang magpasuntok dito.

Nick thinks he kind of deserved it for breaking his promise to the duke. Afterall, he promised to only protect his dear cousin and not to have his wicked ways with her.

But he don't regret any of it. If anything, he was quite thankful the mission was given to him. Because of it, he was able to meet this wonderful woman that will make him love like crazy for the rest of his life.

For the first time in his life, he was happy that such woman was able to infect his life and managed to worm herself into his heart. Enough for him to want to settle down and have a family with her. He was so glad it was Dreena who had him.

"The wedding will be in three days. The bruise is fading pero hindi iyan mawawala sa araw na iyon. Tsk. Papangit ka sa wedding portrait ninyo dude."

"It was that or he'd risk losing a bride." It was Cole who spoke.

"Yeah. The grandfather already made it clear to him that he don't want anyone to know the honeymoon came first." Segunda naman ni Aiden.

"Wala.. ginalingan eh." Dagdag pa ni Mason.

Ngumisi si Nick tanda ng pagsang-ayon. Pasimple naman itong siniko ni Dreena.

"Oo nga pala, nasabihan mo na ba ang mama mo tungkol sa nalalapit mong kasal?" Tanong ulit ni Aiden.

"Yeah. She wasn't that surprised though.."

Dreena frowned. "You... didn't tell her everything?"

"I already did, princess.. before pa, during the night you and alleck came into my house."

Dreena's eyes widened. Her mouth formed an 'O'.

"Everything...?" She gasped.

Nick just shrugged. "Pretty much, yeah. I couldn't avoid it. Not when she practically dragged me into her room and started interrogating me that night. I might be one hell of a lady's man but not when it comes to my mother. I can barely lie with her hovering over me like that. She knew me too much to know whenever I'm lying."
