"Do you trust me Dreena?"

I looked at the man standing beside me, then to the priest in front of us.

"Do you?"

Do I...?

"I need you to trust me.. " His face was full of hope at the same time full of doubt too.

I set aside the fear that is slowly creeping inside of me. I looked at him and right there and then I knew. There's nothing I wanted to to do but to be with him. We are just eighteen.. too young to be doing this kind of commitment. But with him... I felt like I could do anything like always.

He's my bestfriend. And I am his.

Wanting to erase any doubt in him, I smiled.

"I'll be with you." I Whispered.

He took me in his arms and then ushered me to the aisle.

I have always thought that this day would be the most perfect.

I would walk down the aisle wearing the most beautiful wedding gown.. with my loving family surrounding me and wishing me the best..

I sighed.

I do not have all of that today.. but in the absence of a wedding gown and my family, I have him. The only person that matters. He is everything that I need.. everything that I would ever want. And together, I will make the decision that I will never regret till the day I die..

"I'm your wife now.."

"As I am your husband." He cupped my cheeks and smiled. "I swear you will never going to regret this Dreena.. I will take care of you and protect you till my very last breath.."

I smiled as I raised my palm to caress his cheek. Tears started to pour down my cheeks.

"I know you will. I trust you.. I love you.."

"Momma? Momma?"

Napapitlag siya sa boses na pumutol sa daloy ng isip niya. I looked at my son who is standing proudly in front of me. Nakapamaywang ito at nakakunot ang noo.

"What is it Alec?"

"What am I going to do here? I'm bored..." He pouted.

I smiled.
It was a good thing na nagkataong pareho sila ng kulay ng buhok ni Nick. It would make the people here less suspiscious about Aleck being his son..

"It's time for your piano lessons then. Come, I'll teach you."

"But there is not even a grand piano here.." Maktol nito.

I sighed. Oo nga pala, Nick's house is just a... normal house. Wala dito ang mga bagay na meron sa estate nila. Napabuntong hininga na lang uli ako.

"How about Nick, have you seen him?"

"You mean dad?"

"...Yes.." Sagot niya na bahagya pang natigilan.

"Oh, he's with tita Cecil."

My expreasion changed into a frown. So he's with Cecil. Hindi ko alam but that information brought a bitter taste into her mouth. He's been busy at the vineyard this past few days dahil anihan na. And come to think of it. Ni hindi na pala ito nakakasabay sa kanila na mag-almusal at mag-tanghalian.
