Laney's Point Of View;
“Are you sure your daddy is a normal human being?” Asking Cara, I pulled her closer to me, wrapping my arms tightly around her body. “Do you think I should wake him up?” I questioned again, my eyebrows drawing together. Cara didn't respond to me, her attention was focused on the video playing on my iPhone. I was waiting for him to watch over Cara so I would leave to pick my sister up from the airport.
My eyes darted again to Justin, to say that I was uncomfortable by just watching him sleep would be an understatement. When last week Cara had a cold, Justin sadly caught it too and he secretly hid the fact that he was sick for days. I kept bugging him about it until he confessed.
Five days earlier;
“What are you doing?” Walking inside the kitchen, I questioned Justin. I placed both of the pizza boxes I was holding on the counter and raised a brow at him, he's never in the kitchen.
He stirred whatever was in the pot then turned around. “Cooking.” He simply replied.
I let out a fake gasp. “Is Justin Bieber, cooking?” I said with a shock.
“I wanted to eat soup.” Justin rasped before clearing his throat. “You bought the pizza? How much were they?”
Ignoring his question, I focused on his nose, he looked like Rudolf's red nose. I approached him and he surprisingly took a step back and rubbed his face. I gave him a weird look, which he returned only with a giggle.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” He wiped his nose with his sleeve.
“Are you... sick?” The instant I asked, he shook his head repeatedly.
“Psttt, of course not.” He denied then kissed the top of my head. “Go eat your pizza baby.”
Nodding, I opened the pizza box that had seafood pizza in it. I grabbed two plates and placed a slice in each of them, one for me and the other for Cara. I turned back to Justin with a suspicious look on my face, why wouldn't he admit that he was sick? I wasn't even sure if he really got a cold or it was because he barely drinks anymore and it was just a 'withdrawal'. I tip toed to see what's inside the pot, he was really cooking.
“Mhmm.” I felt Justin nuzzle his head in the back of my neck before he planted a peck there. “You smell so nice.” He complimented, causing my face to flush pink. I turned around so that my back was against the counter and I was facing him. I leaned in to kiss him but he whipped his head to the left, forcing me to kiss his cheek instead.
“Justin!” I said with a whine, I wondered why he has been distant from me since the other night. He either didn't want to kiss me––which I really doubt––or he was sick and didn't want me to catch the cold.
“What!” He mocked me with the same tone I used. “I've been wondering––”
I cut him off. “So you're sick.” I smirked at him, running my hand through my hair.
“I'm so not.” He shook his head again at me. “I uhm, I want to ask you something but don't get mad at me for asking. You don't even have to answer me.”
Suddenly my whole body felt hot and my heart beats quickened. “What?”
“Uhm, are you a virgin?” He asked shyly before he returned to the stove when I froze in my place.
“Does it matter to you?” It came out a little rude but I shrugged it off, wondering where he was going with that question.
“Of course not,” he looked at me. “I was just wondering you know. The question just popped in my head.” He explained after turning off the stove.
