TRIS-
We found ourselves in the hospital garden in late August. It was hot even under the shade of the trees.
Ashley an Karen were visiting again, and Uriah was gradually warming to the idea of an open adoption.
He understood that it was for the best. Accepted that there was no way we could raise her on our own.
They decided to keep the name Delilah. The thought it was pretty and suited her well. They also thought it was important to let Uriah feel more comfortable in all of this.
Everyone cried the first time they held her, called her a little miracle. Me, however, I just sat there. Smiling because I knew I was supposed to but feeling that numbness sink in once more.
Once healthy enough to leave these hospital walls, Delilah would go home with her new family. A better family. A family that would give her anything an everything possible. She would be loved and adored.
I can already picture her perfect life. And that's what she deserves. Complete and utter perfection.
