HARRY’S POV

I paced in front of the bus. “She’ll come. I know she will.”

I’d shown them all the note she’d left this morning. She wasn’t answering my calls or texts.

How could she do this to me?

“Harry, come here,” Liv said, shooing me off to the side.

            I walked over to her.

            “She’s not going to come.”

            “No, you’re wrong. She-“

“She is stubborn and thick-headed, not to mention she’s under a lot of emotional stress right now. She won’t come.”

“She has to! I have to say goodbye!”

Liv hugged me. “I’m sorry….but we have to go.”

I looked back at the streets and instantly lost all my home.

            “Okay…” I said.

Liv held my hand tightly in hers.

“She still likes you,” she whispered.

“If she did, wouldn’t she be here?”

Liv connected our green eyes. “That’s exactly why she isn’t.”

We were on the bus, headed out. I sat down on her old bunk while everyone else played games in the hall. I curled up in her sheets and cried.

I didn’t even get to say goodbye.
