Chapter 35

*Ross's POV*

We are just waiting in Anna's room while she's in surgery. I'm tapping my foot nervously, probably driving everybody nuts. Riker is pacing back and forth. I personally think and noticed Anna is probably closer to Riker, other than me, than even Rydel.

"Riker are you okay?" Rydel nervously asked.

"Not really no, just worried something will go wrong or something..." He trailed off.

"She's gonna be okay. But I'm worried too..." Ratliff patted Riker's back and looked at all of us.

Ratliff never left. That's pretty incredible and super nice too, more than words can say, no matter how cheesy that sounds. "How long has it been since they took her away?" I asked.

Rydel looked at the clock on the wall,"Like 15 minutes ago."

I leaned my head back and groaned," It feels like forever."

Time went ticking by very slowly. Mom and Dad went to grab us something for lunch. I'm honestly not very hungry. But I'll eat anyway because I think I'm worrying mom by being so worried and freaked out about Anna.

The time went on and on forever and ever. "How long did the doctor say the surgery will take?" I asked.

"About two hours and before you ask again, its been 1 and 20 minutes since they took Anna," Rydel replied.

I nodded and continued to tap my foot nervously while Riker paced back and forth. Rocky began messing with his fingers and hands nervously. Ryland did weird things like randomly putting his hands up in the air and moving his legs in circles, why I don't know. Rydel messed with her bracelets. Ratliff just stared around the room and then at the floor and the around the room then the floor, Its an endless cycle.

Mom and Dad came back," Here's some food guys. We got chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy," Mom announced.

I took some of everything and sat down, eating slowly. When I was finally done, I threw my plate away and sat back down. All of a sudden the door opened revealing the doctor and...Anna!

We all ran over but left space for the man to bring in Anna who is asleep still in her bed. "Is she okay?" Rocky asked.

The doctor smiled," She's fine. The surgery went very well. I took off about an inch and a half so you can see its shorter...but we need a few days for the skin flap to grow so we can pull it over and close what's left of her arm up." (A/N I'm so sorry for saying skim flap trust me it grosses me out too lol)

We all nodded and the men who wheeled her in left and the doctor started to leave when I stopped him," Wait, when will she wake up?"

"Soon in the next hour, two at the latest," The doctor replied.

I nodded and say in the chair on the right to Anna's bed. We all scooted chairs up closer to her bed.

~An hour Later~

Anna still isn't up. Its been an hour but the doctor said 2 hours at the latest.

*Anna's POV*

I kept my eyes close as I became concious. I ran my hand up where my left arm should be and put my hand on what's left. Not much.

I opened my eyes to see everyone looking at me," Where am I?" I strained to say. I'm very weak. I have no energy and I feel terrible. Sick.

"You're in the hospital sweet heart. You're okay though," Stormie sweetly said.

I slightly nodded," It hurts, bad."

"I'll get the doctor," Riker said walking out the door.

"What happened?" I ask.

"You dont remember?" Mark asked.

"Yeah I do but how did they get in? What happened before Ross and I can back?" I asked.

Just then the doctor walked in," Hey Anna I'm your doctor. How are you feeling?"

"It hurts and I don't feel good," I answered.

He sympathetically nods," Well its not going to feel good for the next few days. You went through a lot of trauma. You lost most of your blood supply. We couldn't operate at all until this morning because we currently dont have your blood supply here but one person was a match amd donated blood...It was Rocky."

I looked at Rocky. "Sloth twinzies for life!" Rocky cheered and threw his fist in the air and smiled.

I weakly laughed," Thanks Rocky."

Rocky smiled," Don't mention it."

"Now Anna, your life is going to be very different from now on. You're going to need to get used to doing things differently now," The doctor said.

I looked up at him and simply nodded. He patted me nicely on the head and left to tend to other patients.

I looked at everyone. "How about we wait to talk about what happened just concentrate on getting better," Mark said.

I nodded,"Did anyone call my sister?"

Everyone looked at eachother," Yeah we did..." Ratliff answered.

"So where is she?"

Stormie gave me a sad worried look," She couldn't stay."

"Why?"

"She had to go back to Florida," Stormie steadily replied.

" Go back?" I looked at them like they have four heads," But she told me at the mall she lives in L.A.?"

"She did bit she's 20 so she's in college and she goes to college in Florida..." Riker says uneasy.

"So she couldn't miss like one or two days for her sister who's in the hospital with an arm cut off completely?" I ask.

Riker looked down and shook his head," Apparently not, Sorry kid."

I lay my head back in my pillow and sigh, why me? Ross reached over and grabbed my right hand. At least I have him and Ratliff and the Lynch's....I hope.
