Chapter 40

*Ryland's POV*

I woke up about 8:30 AM. I figured my dad is up so I decided to call him about what to do about what to do after Anna can leave the hospital which is only a few days away.

"Hey dad," I say as he answers the phone.

"Hey Ryland what's up?"

"Okay so we may have a problem," I announce.

"What's the problem?" Dad asks.

"Okay so you know how the plan is to take Anna home for about 2 weeks to rest and then go on tour?" I ask.

"Yeah, what's wrong with it?"

"Well there are a ton of poparazzi downstairs trying to get to Anna's room to talk to her or me about everything that happened. Of course they'll be at the house to see where it happened! On top of all that, Anna doesn't feel 100% safe at the house in a hotel or whatever with only me. I mean she knows I can protect her but I see why she's afraid and I'd rather be with everyone too. I think we need to come straight to touring with you guys," I explain.

"Well the poparazzi part will be the same because they'll be there too for interviews with R5. I mean me and your mother are interviewed a lot too. But I agree with you guys being alone. I don't feel safe letting you guys be alone like that. So I guess you will need to come straight to touring, we'll just need to keep her safe and keep her in as much peace as we can while she heals. She maybe okay in the hospital but the second she comes out and reality will hit again. She can't do much in the hospital so she'll realize how hard it is to have one arm. Plus she knows she's safe in that hospital but out and around, she's gonna be afraid. And on top of all that, shes not only going to have to heal physically but also mentally. Her father cut off her arm for god sake," My dad says.

"I know I know. We just need to be around her at all times and make sure she knows she's safe with us and that we'll always be on her side. We'll have to try our hardest to help her and give her time to rest. That's all we can do right know," I point out.

"Yeah. Okay so you will need to meet us up when you get out. Do you know what day that'll be for sure?" Dad asks.

"Hang on I'll ask," I tell Dad and I walk out of the room to fins the doctor.

"Hey doctor. I'm sorry to keep asking this again but I need to know what day Anna can leave?"

He thinks," The soonest she can leave is 2 days from now so Tuesday."

"Okay thank you," I say and tip toe into the room, careful not to disturb Anna.

"Hey dad, he said she can leave Tuesday," I say.

"Oh that works out perfectly. We have the day off that day and we'll be in New Jersey so what I want you to do is get plane tickets for say 12  in the afternoon so you can be in New Jersey at about 6 since it takes about 6 hours to get to New jersey by flight from Cali. We will pick you guys up from the airport and go get dinner," Dad orders.

I nod," Okay got it. I'll by the ticket online for a flight at 12 in the afternoon and be there at about 6 and you'll pick us up at the airport," I repeat.

"Yes great job Ryland. Thank you so much for doing this. I'm very proud of you," Dad appreciated.

"You're welcome Dad. Besides I don't mind at all," I reply looking over at Anna sleeping peacefully.

"Good. We all loved the video you sent us last night," Dad laughed.

I smiled," Oh yeah well...."

"Is she better now as she walks around?" Dad asks.

"Yeah she's recovering really well now that she got that blood transfusion. But sadly as if her arm being taken off, her shoulders broken, luckily not badly, but still. She has to wear all this bandage on it," I sigh.
