chapter 18

*Riker's POV*

I woke up the next morning at 6:55. I turned off my alarm so it wouldn't go off. I got up and went over to Rocky.

I shook Rocky,"Rocky wake up! We need to get everyone up now."

Rocky groaned," Ugh okay."

Rocky got up and we went to each room to wake everyone up but Anna. I decided to go to Ross first in case he set his alarm so I can just wake him up.

I walked in and Ross was already up," Hey I'm up. I didn't really sleep at all."

I nodded and once everyone was awake we all went downstairs.

"Can someone explain to me why we were all weaken up at 7:00 in the morning?" My dad asked.

"Yeah...there's a problem. Ross will explain," I replied.

Ross told everyone the entire conversation between him and Anna last night. Ross started to tear up again.

I broke in," So we need to find a way to get Anna to not leave Hollywood Records. We have to convince her, she can't give up this chance of a lifetime because of her parents."

"We can try and we will but in the end it's her choice. I feel just as terrible for her as you do but if she needs or wants to leave her record deal, then she has that choice. I hope we do get her to keep doing music, like you said, she's worked for this her entire life," My mom said.

"Okay when she comes downstairs, we will talk to her. So for now, let's eat breakfast," My Dad said getting some cereal.

Within about 20 minutes, Anna came downstairs.

*Anna's POV*

I walked downstairs to see everyone in the kitchen.

"Hey Anna, come in here," Rocky called to me.

I looked at everyone," Hey guys...."

"Come in and sit down," Mark said.

I have a feeling Ross told everyone about my decision. I have to quit. They can't change my mind.

"What's up?" I ask.

"We don't think you should quit your record deal. You've worked so long for this sweetie, your entire life! Don't let your parents stop you from your dreams," Stormie pleaded.

"Look guys, I have to quit because I don't know how they find out everything. I don't know if they know about you guys yet, I'd imagine they do, but I can't put me or any of you at risk! It's sweet you guys care but my decision is final. I'm going to call Alan now," I said leaving to grab my cell.

By the way I got a phone right before I moved here to California. I dialed Alan's number," Hey Anna are you coming to the recording session today?"

My heart sunk," Uh no and never will....I have to quit my record deal...I'm sorry."

Alan gasped," What? Why?"

I started to tear up," I just can't. I have a reason but I can't tell you I'm sorry. Thank you for everything though. Goodbye...Alan."

"Well this really sucks, that means you lose your house unless you pay for it but it's probably way to much I'm sorry...but goodbye Anna." Alan said and hung up.

I sat down on my bed in Rydel's room and put my head in my hands and just sat there in silence.

I felt someone's hand on my back.

I looked up," Ross?"

"Hey, it's gonna be okay Anna," Ross comforted.

"I know but ill get over it. There's other things in the world to do..." I trailed off.

I put my head on Ross shoulder while he rubbed my back. We just sat there in silence. Not an awkward silence just a nice, peaceful silence.

"How bout we go out today. I just realized we haven't even really been on a date!" Ross said.

I laughed," Yeah okay let's go! Just let me change first."

Ross nodded and walked to my closet," Ross What are you doing?" I asked.

"Well you said you had to change so I'm picking out your outfit," Ross exclaimed.

I giggled," Um okay..."

Ross walked over," Here wear this."

He picked out a really pretty yellow tank top and ripped skinny jeans.

"Wow Ross, you actually picked out a really good outfit!" I said surprised.

"Why would I pick a bad outfit!" Ross laughed.

"No I didn't mean that, I meant you just don't seem the one to pick out really cute outfits..." I laughed.

"Well I'll take that as you saying I'm such a man that it's a surprise I have a fashion sense!" Ross exclaimed and walked out," Oh and wear your bright yellow converse."

I started cracking up laughing. I changed into the outfit Ross picked out for me and walked downstairs.

"Oh my gosh Anna that's such a cute outfit!" Rydel gushed.

"Well I didn't pick it out! Ross did," I replied.

"Wow Ross, you're so fashionable. So Jackie O." Ryland says walking over.

We all start laughing," Aye what can I say!" Ross said.

"Okay let's go," I said grabbing Ross's hand, pulling him to the door.

"Mom, Anna and I are going on a date!" Ross called to his mother.

"Okay! Be careful!" Stormie called back and Ross and I left for our date.
