Chapter 17: Back to Reality

EMILY'S POV

I'm back to the human world.

To be honest. I acctually hate my life, just a bit. Because it's so messed up! My mission there, my lesson here. My problem there, my problem here. I have 2 different lives that I can't handle at the same time.

First, the human world. Normal, just what I always wanted. Busy projects. Practice for performances. Study for exams. Hang out with friends.

Second, the Birthstone world. NOT normal, I don't kinda like my life there. Do my mission. Study. Talk about dreams. And fiding a plan how to defeat the bad guy in my life.

This 2 worlds are different! Birthstone world is important. Human world is important. If I rejected Birthstone world, the world will suffer. If I rejected Human world, my dream won't come true.

That's the reason why I can't reject one of them.

I changed my clothes and drove to Kyle's house.

Kyle took me to his music room.It's very beautiful. As big as my house.

"Do you know this song?" Kyle asked me.

"Of coarse I do." I said.

"Play and sing." He said.

Kyle started olaying his piano while I play my guitar.

"Right from the start you were a thief

I let you see the parts of me that weren't that pretty

With every touch you fixed them........."  Kyle and I sang and ended the song together.

"Oh by the way, Kate and Jennifer will go here. We'll practise for the performance." Kyle said.

"You already know the chords?" I asked

"Of coarse I do." He said

"Play it." I said.

"If you will sing." He said. I nodded in return.

He started playing his piano.

"I'm searching for the one I can't see anymore

You've given me this power ever since you left me right here."  Before I could even sing the chorus someone knocked at the door and that caused Kyle to stop playing.

"Kyle you'll treat us after this." It was Kate and Jennifer.

"No!" Kyle shouted.

"Please?" Kate said trying to be cute.

"Fine." Kyle

"Let's start!" I interupted

"Practise is over! Let's go to the mall!" Kate exclaimed

"Let's go!" Jennifer said.

I saw Kyle rolling his eyes.
