"There's a universe in you," Tyler smiles. "You know that, right?"
"Then there's an ocean in you," I smile back, loving the way his hazel eyes study me like I'm the only thing that exists.
"I'm scared of black holes," he repeats, his voice waverin...

I awoke with a start.
I was laying down on the brink of consciousness when I suddenly felt something warm and slimy drop onto my forehead. Opening my eyes, I let out a surprised squeak, then immediately heard muffled laughter.
"Is she awake?"
"I think so."
Putting a hand up to my forehead, I felt for whatever it was that'd been dropped onto me. My fingers immediately sunk into something warm and mushy, and with a shriek, I flung it off. It landed feet away in the sand, and I sat upright, wiping my forehead and fingers off quickly.
Whatever it was, it was disgusting.
Glancing around, I spotted Harmon, Josh, Tyler, Luna, Grey, Sierra, and Wesley all sitting in a circle around me. Tyler held a banana peel in one hand, and his other was covering his mouth, fighting back laughter.
"What the hell?" I asked, confused out of my mind. When nobody responded, I frowned. "What kinda satanic ritual type crap are y'all doin'?"
My brother was the first one to speak up. "You wouldn't wake up, so we had to resort to drastic measures."
I just stared at everyone incredulously, my mouth open wide. "By covering my forehead in bananas?!"
"It was him!" Sierra and Grey shouted simultaneously, pointing at Tyler.
With that, he lost it, trying to choke back his laughter, but failing terribly. Luna smacked Tyler upside the head, and he stopped laughing to glare at her playfully. She just stuck her tongue out at him.
I wanted to smack her upside the head.
"I lost a bet," Tyler said sheepishly.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes, standing up and brushing the sand off of my lap. My back ached, and I realized that I'd fallen asleep on the blanket next to Tyler... right on the ground.
At this rate, I was gonna have arthritis by my mid-twenties.
"That's what you get for being the last one to wake up," Luna grinned. I didn't have a good enough comeback, so I kept my mouth shut, looking at Josh and my brother instead.
"What time is it?"
They glanced at each other, and I watched Joshes fingertips absentmindedly run circles over the top of my brothers hand. He looked smitten, and I felt a pang of jealousy.
