"Girl, kill her! Flipping kill her!"

I watched the T.V with wide eyes as Sierra clutched onto my wrist, shouting at the screen. All the action was doing nothing but raising my blood pressure higher than it already was.

The main character in the movie was fighting another girl, and she was in a bad position. Honestly, I wasn't paying too much attention. The sight of a chick having her head repetitively smashed into a brick wall wasn't soothing my anxiety.

I was on the edge of sofa, holding the mug of peach juice between trembling hands. It was still half-full, and I sat it down for a moment, wiping the condensation off.

"Grab her hair!" Luna screamed at the T.V, making me jump.

Tyler stood up and clapped loudly as the main character slammed the other chicks face into the wall again. "Punch her tit!"

I couldn't fight back the grin that formed on my face at Tyler's outburst. He was acting semi-normal again, and it was making me happy for some odd reason.

My mind didn't wander from the note in my back pocket, though. The movie was just a distraction, but hell, it was a good one.

I take a bite of my rice, feeling somewhat content. Sierra finally releases my wrist and lets it fall to my side. I glance over at Wesley and Grey, just to see that they aren't even watching the movie.

Instead, Grey's head was lying in his lap, and her eyes were closed. Wesley was peering down at a sleeping Grey, smoothing her hair back away from her face. He looked awed, and my heart melted a tiny bit as I returned my gaze to the flashing T.V.

"Are you joking?!" Sierra exclaimed as the character she was rooting for died. Luna just laughed.

A bit of rice drops onto the blanket in my lap, and I flick it off. Suddenly, I hear the living room door open, followed by a quiet gasp.

It was Harmon.

"What the hell?"

I smiled a bit at how surprised my brother sounded. I figure it looked odd; everybody piled onto the living room couches, cuddling and watching a movie in the dark. That realization made me feel a bit happier.

A few months ago, things wouldn't have been this way.

I would've been sitting in my room doing nothing, and my mom would've been away at work. The house would be empty and filled with the usual loneliness that seemed to be a usual after Vivian had died. I reckon that this was an improvement, and Harmon's expression seemed to suggest the same.

"Uhmm... hey?" he says, looking taken back.

Sierra glanced over to where he stood in the doorway. "Sup."

I motioned towards the ground in front of me, trying to counteract my friends nonchalant attitude. "D'ya wanna watch the movie with us?" I ask Harmon, and he just shrugs.

"Why not."

I move my feet, leaving space for my brother to sit down on the ground.

"Did you ask mom if everyone could stay the night?" Harmon asks curiously, stealing one of my pillows. "Wait, is everyone staying the night?"
