Tear in my heart.

Despite how hard I tried, I couldn't remember Tyler ever mentioning anything about a song called Tear In My Heart. It sounded like a love song, if anything.

As he sat a few feet away from me, I watched him talk to Dr. Reeder. He'd already denied answering any questions about that damned song.

His face remained stoic. It was hard to believe that Tyler's favorite song was one he hadn't even released, but hell, I was curious.

Tear In My Heart.

It was a beautiful name for a song. After Dr. Reeder left, I'd considered asking him what it was about, but it didn't seem worth trying. Tyler had been adamant about not opening up, so I was left to my own imagination.

Right now, he sat at my kitchen table, talking to my brother about tattoos and everything related.

"How much did it hurt dude? Like, which was your most painful one?"

Tyler absentmindedly rubbed a hand over his shoulder, leaning his other elbow atop the table. His tattoos were beautiful to say the least, and I couldn't imagine him looking normal without them. They seemed to tell a story.

"Umm, probably the one on my chest," Tyler finally answered, looking tired.

Harmon leaned forwards in his chair. "Like, on a scale of 1-10?"

"Nine?"

I rolled my eyes, growing impatient. "I kinda have to drop Tyler off at home."

Tyler nodded in agreement. "I'm supposed to be home by four. Moms orders," he smiled.

Harmon threw me an annoyed glance. "Fine."

I stood up and pushed my chair in. Tyler did the same. As I headed out to my car, he skipped ahead of me, looking like an ADHD puppy.

"Someone forgot to take their meds," I joked.

He stopped and grinned at me, bouncing on his toes lightly. "I'm just really happy today. Problem?"

I smiled back at him, climbing into the drivers seat. "Not at all, sunshine."

"Sunshine? That's a new one," Tyler winked, buckling himself up with a quiet click.

I peered at him curiously. "Implying that there was an old one?"

He cocked his head at me slightly, his eyebrows furrowing together. "I don't know. Was there?"

This was the part where I was supposed to tell him about all the nicknames we used to call each other. I was supposed to remind him about how he used to call me little red and ocean girl and I would tell him about how I used to call him blue and T.J and he would remember me again and everything would be perfect.
