"If I can't feel, if I can't move, if I can't think, and I can't care, then what conceivable point is there in living?"

And so, for the first time, I did something I never thought I would do.

I told my friends the story of Tyler and I, all the way back to the first time I saw him play at The Basement, to him losing his memory. Of course, I didn't tell them why he was in the hospital. They'd respected the fact that I didn't want to invade Tyler's privacy, and I appreciated it.

"And so he kissed me today, but then Luna showed up and said I kissed him. He didn't even deny it!" I continued, exasperated. For a good half of my story, Sierra had tears in her eyes, and Grey looked ready to stab my half-sister.

"Then what?" she asked, drumming her fingers on my forehead.

I shrugged. "I left."

"What the hell? You were supposed to go steal your man back, Jenna."

"Yeah! I swear, you guys are soulmates or something," Sierra added, and I felt my heart hurt again.

"I'm not gonna force something to work."

Grey peered down at me incredulously, her black hair falling around her face. "You obviously didn't force anything before. You won't need to force anything now either... maybe it just needs a lil' shove," she smiled.

I closed my eyes and let myself smile too. "Maybe."

I was so glad that I told my friends about everything. Their reassurance was what I needed to hear, and it's like a weight was just lifted from my shoulders. Finally sitting up from Grey's lap, I stretched out my back.

"Do you guys want food?" I asked, feeling my stomach growl. I hadn't eaten anything besides cereal this morning, and that wasn't particularly filling.

Sierra hopped up from my bed, my chicken still wrapped in her arms. "When do I not want food."

I grinned. "Alrighty then."

Ushering them out of my room, I closed the door behind me and peered down the hallway. "WESSLLEEEYY!"

Grey immediately swung around to face me, her eyes wide. "Jenna-"

"WHAAAAT!" came a voice from a few rooms over. My friend went pale in the face as a shirtless Wesley stepped into the hallway, narrowing his eyes at us. As soon as he saw Grey, his own eyes went wide and he jumped back into his bedroom, slamming the door shut.

A few seconds later, he emerged wearing a white t-shirt. Grey giggled to herself like a shy little schoolgirl, and I felt satisfied.
