I was checking Grace's baby bag one more time to make sure I had everything, but I would not be surprised if Red and Arrow and twice this waiting just for her. There was a knock at the door and Brison opened it. It was a man and woman I was sure I had seen before, then I remembered. These were the people that brought Brison and I home from the palace the night we went up after the funeral.
"Hello. We are Natasha and Alexandru, we are here to escort you to the palace," She said.
"Hello again. How are you keeping?" I said throwing the baby bag over my shoulder.
"We are most well thank you," He said.
"Again?" asked Brison.
"Don't you remember the night the witches invaded the vampire palace they brought us home," I told him
His face lit up in realisation and he greeted them.
"Your transportation is waiting outside," Alexandru told us.
Brison carried Grace in her baby carrier as we followed them outside to where a limo was waiting. We were both taken back, but then remembered that they were royalty. After we strapped her in we got in ourselves. The limo was full of different foods like little chocolates and juices. Alexandru got into the drivers seat an when we were all set, he took off like lightening. It was only a second before Nasthsa started shouting at him in vampire and pointing into the back at Grace. He immediately slowed down and began to apologize to us.
"My sincerest apologies. It is a force of habit. Vampires like to drive fast you see," He told us.
"It's fine, we understand," I said.
It reminded me of when Red was driving us to the demon kingdom and she told us the very same thing. Vampires really did like to go fast. We chatted a little bit until we got to the portal. It was the same one we used the night we went to the ball in the vampire realm. My heart still raced at the sight of the on coming train, but I kept my cool, wanting to adapt to it. I imagined I would be visiting Red and Arrow a lot in the future, with our daughters being mates and all.
Once we finally reached the palace Alexandru opened my door and Nathasa opened Brison's as he carried Grace. No one was outside to greet us as it was mid day and the sun was beating down. Alexandru and Nathasa must have been tough to have been able to tolerate it. The guided us inside to where we finally saw the staff going about their daily work. The stopped and bowed to us as soon as they saw us and were then back about their business. The two led us right through the massive busy palace to a large parlour with only wall of purely glass doors and windows, all open, the revealed the huge and neatly kept garden at the back of the palace. The room was empty and the white drapes swung lightly in the breeze that came it.
Through the window I could see Red, Arrow and a cradle high chair for Ruby. I thanked them again and Brison, Grace and I went out to meet them. They were sitting at a beautiful garden set. A large table with refreshments and big garden chairs with cushions. They even had a wine cool and flowers beautifully arranged making it all look heavenly. When we were outside on the grass where it was all set up they turned to greet us. The both of the them stoop. Red gave me a big hug while Brison and Arrow shook hands. We all sat back down and we propped Grace on something similar to what Ruby had next to Ruby.
"How are the new parents?" Asked Arrow.
"Exhausted," I admitted.
"Yeah, we expected that," Red said.
I looked at Grace to check is was alright and I noticed how similar her and Ruby looked.
"Now that I see them side by side, I notice how much alike they are," I said.
