Red had locked herself into her study as soon as she had picked herself off the ground. She had stormed in with a vengeance and slammed the door shut. Not I, Brison any guards or even Arrow were allowed in. I sat on the floor outside her study along with Brison and Arrow. Brison had wrapped his arms around me as I shook from the sobs.

"Oh god Brison, our baby in gone. What do we do now?" I kept repeating over and over.

I could feel the life drain from me. My baby was out there all alone with god knows who and only god knows what they were doing with her. I looked up at Brison who was red from rage. He trembled with anger as his thought about what could be happening to our daughter. Across the hall way opposite us, Arrow lay against the wall next to the door into the study. His face had turned grey from what had happened and he looked sick with worry. He did not move, I doubted if he was even breathing. Red had been in there for hours, when at last the door opened. Both Brison and I looked up, but Arrow did not even flinch. He stayed limp on the floor, completely defeated. Red's face was stained from tears, but she looked terrifying. Her eyes were sharp and you know that something sinister was taking place in her head as she thought of what she would do when she caught them.

"We're going to the hostile," She said bluntly.

At the sound of his wife's voice, Arrow began to respond. He looked up at his wife slowly, as he had little energy. She held down her hand and he took it. She pulled him to his feet and wrapped her arms around him. After a moment he hugged her back. She began to cry into his shoulder and he patter her hair.

"I failed again," She cried

"First my sister, now my daughter. I failed as a mother. I was supposed to protect her and I failed her," She sobbed.

"We'll get her back," He said, but it was no use.

Her legs buckled beneath her and she crashed down on to the floor.

"NO NO NO NO!" She screamed.

"I WANT MY BABY-I AM GOING TO KILL WHO EVER TOOK HER-I'LL BURN THEM ALIVE," She roared out as the tears streamed down her face.

"ARROW! SOME BASTARD TOOK OUR BABY.......My little girl. She must be so scared,"

As she was screaming out, a guard approached.

"Your highness. You're helicopter to the human realm is ready," He said.

Red had her hands down on the floor, with her head hanging so low, the no one could see her face. All the light blubs along the hallway began to brighten quickly, until they were so bright, we could no longer stand it, so had to shield our eyes. We all knew what was about to happen, so as they reached their limit, Brison quickly shielded me, right before they exploded. Glass shot through the air and pierced the skin of anyone who was too close. Brison had luckily pulled us to on side, out of range. Red and Arrow were no so lucky. The glass had stuck into their backs, but they soon began to fall out onto the floor as their skin began to heal itself. The hallway was in complete darkness but thankfully the light blubs around the corner had not been affected, so some light was flooding in.

With stiff limbs of anger, Red pulled herself to her feat. Giving herself a moment to comprise herself, she marched forward. We all instinctively followed her. As we passed different rooms, we caught glimpses of t.v's with vampire news showing footage of Red and Arrow when the first showed Ruby at the balcony. It would cut to scenes of crowds holding candles and preying for their little princess. They would also comment on Grace, but they were not aware that they were mates. We had also decided to keep that private, until they were ready to announce it themselves.

We marched out into the court yard out the front. A helicopter sat waiting in the dead of night, looking out of place, like a beast woken from it's slumber. Behind it, I saw the front gates. Crowds of people were standing at the bars, holding up the vampire flag, of black white and red and candles. Soldiers had the doors opened and ready for us. We all waited for Red to get in first, but she stood looking into the silent crowd. All the was to be heard, was the soft night breeze the blew across the court yard. Once you looked harder into the crowd, you could see that they were crying.

It was that night that I had first heard the vampire motto. It was first chanted by a single person but then it rippled until the whole crowd, thousands of them, were chanting it together.

"For the night, for the crown, for the people,"

Red walked over to the gates and reached out her arms, to the chanting crowds. They reached in through the bars, and as many as possible held onto her arms and hands. They never stopped chanting. She eventually had to let go and with new strength she marched back to the helicopter. Without hesitation, she pulled herself in and sat down. We quickly followed and got strapped in ourselves. It took off within minutes. We flew over the chanting crowd and Red looked down at her people. They knew and I knew that she was going to get them back. No one spoke for the hole flight and it was not long before we finally reached the hostile. They landed the plane and once it was safe to, we got out. Pat and Paris were up in their night gowns, ready to meet us. Obviously they had just been alerted to our coming. I wondered why Red had brought us here, but I knew from when she saved us from the demons that she liked to be left alone to just get the work done.

Red spoke to the pilot alone as the rest of us were rushed in. Pat pulled me into a big hug and refused to let me go.

"Paris dear would you go make some of the calming tea?" She asked.

After a moment Red joined us.

"Pat could I speak to you and Paris please?" She asked.

"Of course. Come into the kitchen, Paris is already in there," She said, reluctantly letting me go.

She held me out at arms length and gave a sympathic smile before following Red into the kitchen. Red was being very discreet about her plans, but she was making no effort to hide that she was up to something. It was clearly important that we don't know exactly what is was, but I doubted she cared very much if it was frustrating us, not knowing what was going on. But if I knew Red, all would be revealed in it's own time.
