Try outs

I just stood there looking at her. My hand made its own way to my stomach. It hovered there for a second before it rested protectively on my stomach, where my baby was. 

I was pregnant. 

I was pregnant. 

Where was Brison? I needed him. Suddenly I was pulled into a bear hug as Megan wrapped her arms around me.

"OH ELLIE," She cried happily.

I felt my heart began to beat again. It pounded against my chest. We were going to have a baby. We were going to be a family. I could feel the tears of joy roll down my face, as I hugged Megan back with my free arm. I felt an other pair of arms wrap around me as Red joined in.

Then the door opened and Brison rushed I. I doubt he cared that it was a girls bathroom. Megan and Red stood back. He stood there for a few moments and just looked back at me. He then rushed over and picked me up. He spun me around and then placed me back on the ground. He did not let go of me and leaned in a kissed me passionately.

"Is this really happening?" He asked breathlessly.

"Apparently so," I answered, as my smile grew.

"This is the happiest day of my life," He said, as his eyes watered up.

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you too," He said.

He let go of me with one hand and placed it on my stomach. I placed my hand over his as I looked at him. His eyes were fixed on my stomach. He pulled away and knelt down in front of it. He placed his hand on my waist and placed a gentle kiss on my stomach. He was going to be a fantastic father. He rested his forehead against it, and he gently began to shake with sobs.

"I can't believe this is really happening," He whispered.

"Neither can I," I said.

"Now before you start worrying about people finding out, or demons attacking, I need to remind you, Arrow and I are here to take care of all that. You two just need to enjoy every moment of this," Red said.

Brison stood back up and wrapped his around me protectively.

"Thank you," I said.

Red and Arrow were true to their word. They had even moved in with us and had taken Ruby with them. They were of course heavily guarded. The pack was ecstatic. There were of course complications, like school, but like they had promised, Red and Arrow took care of everything. There were only a few months left in school, so chances are I would be out of there before it became obvious. We got into this new swing of life properly, the Monday we started back up after finding out.

We took a bulletproof car to school and Red and Arrow, rarely left my side. They had soldiers posted on the perimeter of the school and they moved where ever we did. It was very quickly that one ting became an issue. My position as head cheerleader.

"So that bitch (Sarah) is going to get your place," Megan said.

"I guess so," I huffed.

I had quit, telling them, I wanted to focus on studying for finals. Sarah's eyes lit up at the news and she threw me several dirty looks. I hated that she was going to win in the end. She did not deserve it.

"Is everything okay?" Asked Arrow as he sat down beside Megan and I at our lunch table. Red had some how managed to reserve a lunch table outside out of the shade, as I usually left sick and she said fresh air and sunshine would help.

"Nah. Sarah is going to become head cheerleader now that I've stepped down," I told him.

"Try outs are after school today and no one on the team would dare go against her," I told him.

He sat there for a moment thinking.

"Leave it with us," He said.

He got up patting my back and wondered off.

"Do you think they're going to kill her?" Asked Megan

"I honestly don't know," I said.

Before we knew it school was over and it was time for try outs. I sat down on the bleachers with Megan, Dylan and Brison. I was asked to come along and give my opinion after, although I was not on the team anymore. One by one, smiley teens came out, in little cheer leader uniforms. The panel of cheerleaders smiled back at each one and thanked them after their performance. Eventually Sarah came out wearing our uniform. The music began, "ya'll ready for this," Because it just works, and she started doing her performance. It was nothing I was not able to do, and yet she still did it, like she invented it. Arrow walked up along the side of the bleachers and sat down next to us.

"How many more to go?" He asked.

"This is the last one," I sighed.

 At the end she bowed and the teamed clapped. They were about to leave and go pick the next captain, when suddenly the door to the gym opened.

"I'd like to give it a go," Some one said.

We all turned to see Red. I nearly chocked when I saw her standing there all smiles in a little uniform. Sarah scoffed at her.

"We're good thanks sweetheart," She said.

Reds smile dropped from her face as she glared daggers at Sarah.

"Do not call me sweetheart. And last I checked you're not captain, so you don't call the shots. Ladies, you'll regret not seeing me," She said.

They all looked up at me for direction.

"I say give her a try," I told them.     

They all nodded and sat back down. Sarah stood aside and folded her arms in disgust. The music began to play again and Red began. Her skills were surprise to us, but the rest were all taken back. When she finished, they all stood to clap. It was obvious she had won them over. Refusing to be defeated, Sarah stood forward.

"READY? OKAY. WE'LL BLOW YOU AWAY.  BULLDOGS ARE AT THE TOP AND THAT'S WHERE WE WILL STAY," She cheered.  

Red was not exactly impressed by this, but none the less she stepped up to the challenge.

"READY? OKAY. 

Girl, that one's is dated.

I could even take your man," Red chanted, causing many to gasp at how quick she was.

Sarah was completely taken back, but kept going.

"U G L Y, YOU AIN'T GOT NO ALLABY. YOU UGLY, YEAH YEAH, YOU UGLY YEAH,"

" U G L Y? You so sad you make me cry.

Of Couse you're unoriginal,

you're smart just like a vegetable.

To say we were surprised is an understatement. The team was completely blown away and naturally picked her. Oh Red, where have you been all this time.
