Red turned and looked back at me.
"Stay here," she instructed and got out of the car.
She walked out in front of the beam of light and marched towards him.
"GET UP!" She ordered.
The man, who I guessed to be Marco stuggled to stand to his feet with out much luck. He attemped to stand to his feet, but hissed in pain and collapsed back down. Red reached down and grabbed him by the scruff of his collar and lifted him right off the ground. She turned and walked right back to the car. She opened the passanger side and shoved him in. She reached in and pulled out the seatbelt, strapping him in. She held her palm down close to the seatbuckle and small sparks began to fly from her hand, melting the metal. He tugged at the seatbelt but it was going nowhere. He frantically looked over his shoulder at me, fear radiating from him as he most likely recalled how I almost tore him apart when I caught him.
She slammed the door shut and made her way back around to the drivers side. She slide in and started up the engine. We made our way out of the tunnle. Red seemed to be sure of where she wanted to go. After some time Red drove up to an abandonded building. She parked outside and got out of it. Marching her way around the car she opened Marcos door and ripped his seatbelt off of him. Catching him by thr hair, she dragged him out. He struggled to keep his balance, but Red did not wait around. She opened my door and stood back.
"Catch him by the neck and follow me," she insturcted.
Turning my attention to the murderer, I did as she asked. I bit the back of his neck and pulled him out of the car with me. Red closed both doors and headed into the old building that was falling apart. She wove her way past the collected garbage outside and slipped inside. Marco tried to resist, but it was all in vain. She simply kept walking dragging him behind. The murder started to struggle and try to get out of my grasp, but I bit down hard and he stopped. Red had got inside through a mouldy door that had the bottom corner kicked in. As I was bigger it was not as easy. I stood back and began to scratch at the door. I could not bark as I still had to keep hold of the murderer. Red noticed my plea for help and came back. She tried turning the handle on the door from the inside, but it was no use.
"Stand aside,'' she said and I did.
Red must have gently pushed on the door as it began to crack and fall apart. Quick enough there was enough room for me to fit through. I followed her through the run down wet old building. The moonlight could not reach in, so it was pitch dark, but it was not that much of an issue now that I had my wolf vision on. I could make out shapes. I could sense that there were broken chairs and tables, aswell as old beems of wood that must have collapsed down from the ceiling. I kept a tight grip on the murderer as I carefully followed Red through the ruin. She pushed and kicked things out of her way until she made it to the back of the building, far from the entrance. The was a loud sharp creek, that sounded much more like a human screaming. Red had opened a door. I watched as she began to pull Marco down with her, as she walked down what must have been steps.
"Mind your step," her voice echoed back from the stairs, from the utter darkness.
Even with my wolf eyes, it was getting difficult to see. I put a paw in and felt around for the edge of the step. Once I knew how much room I had on the step and went in. The murderer struggled with trying to keep up. Suddently there was a small, soft orange glow appeared in front of me. It began to grow until it became clear it was fire. It grew into a ball roughly the size of a soccer ball, illuminating the area around us. I could see the steps down more clearly. I began to walk down the stairs with more ease and so did the murderer.
"Are you away from the door?" Red called out.
Because I could not bark in response, I gave a deep throath growl. There was a quick a d sharp wind and the door was slammed shut. I jumped a little from fright, but managed to hold onto the murderer. We finally made it down the stairs, and into a small corridor. There were lots of doors leading into small box rooms. I continued to follow Red to the very bottom of the corridor and into ine of the small rooms. The small ball of fire that had been lighting the way for us now, faded away. There were a few small and weak buzzes before the light bulb above our heads flickered on. Red reached out and pulled a chair under the bulb. Placing her hand on Marco's shoulder, she forced him to sit down.
"What the hell do you want from me," he demanded.
His eyes were wide with panic and rage. He was practically foaming at the mouth as he held back tears of fear. The poor man was in a state of terror.
"I want answers," Red replied, as she circled him like a shark.
His eyes would follow her as she moved, but once she looked back at him, he would quickly look away.
"What answers?" he asked.
"Well I really want to know where our daughters are. Someone used Grims portal to kidnap them. To know where they are, I need to know who used the portal," she told him.
"You know I don't know that," he said, his words falling over one an other from fear.
"Yes, I am aware of that. Grim would usually never share something so important with you," She said.
"Then why did you take me?"
"Because usually she doesn't. But she did tell you one very important thing, didn't she," Red told him.
"What are you talking about?"
"I have lots of very devoted spies. 9 out of 10 times they inform me on matters of war or politics. One thing I was shocked to learn though was that my little spies were keeping an eye on everything. I was informed of a boy that the Grim spared. I thought it was unusual so I had them investigate. They could find very little on him even though he was still alive. No one can hide from my spies so the fact that he was so well concealed and spared by death itself meant one thing. Grim had fallen in love with a human boy. An other thing I picked up on was how this boy was so well cared for even though Grim was very busy with massacares to take of and all my wars. Who else could have been hiding him. Grim can't be everywhere and once, but this boy needs constant protection," Red stopped and came down to his level so, she was up close to his face.
He forced himself not to look at her. His breathing became deep and rapid. His mouth was clamped shut. Beads of sweat began to roll down his forehead.
"You know where he is, don't you?" She said.
He still refused to respond.
"You're not going to tell me?"
Still nothing.
"Am I going to have to make you?"
When he still didn't answer, Red sighed and let her head hang low.
"Ellie....you're going to want to leave the room,"
