Alexander held onto Fay's hands, as they sat in the carriage. He sat across from her and smiled brightly at her. She would occasionally glance at him and give a polite smile in return. Alexander seemed as though he were going to burst from pure joy. He brought both of her hands up to his lips and kissed the two of them. When he broke the kiss, he looked up at her.

"I am going to make you the happiest woman alive. I know you had to leave your home, but I will become your new home. Your world. As you are mine," he promised.

Fay's heart did not so much as flutter. She already had someone who spoke such poetry to her and she longed to hear it from them. It meant something to her when kae wooed her. They were soul mates and Alexander could never come in between that. Fay wanted to throw that at him in order for him to leave her alone, but she knew better. She knew he would only find kae and kill them. She needed to be strong and bite her tounge. She forced a smile back at him.

"I am over joyed to hear that," she lied.

"It feels me with happiness to hear you say that. I knew I loved you from the very first moment I saw you,"

Alexander then got up and sat back down next to her, so he could look her even closer in the eyes.

"Everything about you drew me in. I just had to have you. This was always meant to happen. Me and you,"

He then began to gaze down at her lips.

"You.....you were.....everything I dreamed of in a bride and more," he lifted one hand and stroked her face.

She knew what was coming. She had been kissed many times. She held herself together as to not upset him. One wrong move and everyone is dead. He then began to trail his thumb along her bottom lip.

"I invisioned these very lips for many nights, longing for them and only them. What I would do to them. What I would do to you. I am going to make you mine in every way a man can. I know how a woman's body works. I know every curve and edge. I know where to kiss. How to hold you. How to make you forget every other word except my name. I never get boring. There's so much I can do to you,"

He finally leaned in and kissed her. He was gentle st first, as though he was afraid of breaking her or as though non of this was real and he was dreaming. Then his kisses became hungry and he pulled her in closer. He pulled away and rested his forehead against hers. His eyes were closed for a moment, as he inhaled and exhaled deeply. When he opened his eyes he look directly into Fay's. He smiled brighter than before and fave a soft laugh.

"You really are perfect aren't you," he said as he stroked her hair.

Then something outside the window of the carriage caught his attention.

"Look," he said.

Fay turned around to see what he was talking about.

"We're home darling,"

Fay had ben so deep in thought for the journey, she had not been paying attention to how far they had gone. She was too nervous to care about what was passing by the window. But this however caught her attention. In the distance was a long wall with pikes. Some pikes had heads on them. Beyond the wall was the place she feared the most. The demon palace. It stuck up out of the ground like broken black glass. It was the stuff of nightmares. She felt her heart drop from the mere sight of such a hellish thing. Then she noticed the crowds of people that lined the road right up to the palace gates. The roared and cheered when they saw the carriages approaching.

She shook her head and forced herself to focus. Alexander was waiting for her to reply. Fay had never been a liar. In her life in the fairy palace there was never a need to. All of this forced excitment of love was slowly driving her mad. She had never felt so on edge as when she was with Alexander. She turned to look back at him and gave him a big vain smile.

"I love it," she lied again.

Alexander was delighted to hear her say that. He continued to hold her hands on his lap, until the carriage finally came to a stop in the court yard. A footman opened the door and Alexander got out first. He stood and offered her his hand. She quickly took it and he assisted her down. She was a little startled when her high heels clicked off the polished black marble with specks of Red in it. He guided her up the steps and the two large doors groaned open.

Behind her she could hear the crowds cheer and bang on the gate. She had never seen such behaviour before. The creatures she saw were more like animals and their crazed howling of excitment terrorised her. The other carriages pulled up and Fay watched as her companions climbed out and followed her up in an orderly fashion. They all had their heads down, except for Edith. She gazed right up at Fay and looked her directly in the eyes. She held the strong gaze before giving a small nod of encouragement. She then lowered her head like the rest. Fay turned back to find Alexander smiling at her. He led her inside to where people who she guessed to be his court were waiting. They were more refined than the crowd outside. They clapped as Alexander displayed her to them.

"May I present to you my bride. Princess Fay," he announced.

They continued to clap and Fay smiled politely to them. Akexander turned to one of his men and summoned them over.

"Show her companions to their quaters. I would also like some privacy to show Fay around, so instruct everyone to return to their rooms to the night,"

The man nodded and walked off. Alexander then led Fay off down some corridor where they were alone. Down along the walls were huge paintings of past kings and queens. He told about each of them and she pretended to be intrested. The palace was the same on the inside as it was on the outside. Dark and every step you took echoed. Every inch of her longed for Kae, but she restrained herself. She kept reminding herself of their plan. She was not going to be here for long. She trusted Edith would know what to do.

They made their way up several staircases and down different halls, until they reached two big doors. Alexander pushed them open to reveal the most lavish bedroom full of silk, jewles and gold. She stood in awe for a moment.

"This is my chamber. Our chamber now. Oh come, I shall show you my favouriate part," he said and darted across to the other side of the room to where the grand bed was. She followed behind slowly, as she took it all in. When she reached him, she was still gazing around the room. He stood looking at her and when she made eye contact with him, he directed his eyes to something before him. She followed his gaze. Hers eyes widened and she caught herself from stumbling back as she looked down at the craddle. She prayed that Edith knew what she was doing.
