"It's your turn," I groaned.

Grace had woken up four times and Brison and I had been taking turns. It was only 3 in the morning, but it felt like it had dragged on forever. Brison gor up and made his way over to her moses basket at the side of our bed.

"Is my little princess upset?" He cooed as he picked her up.

"Well don't worry, Daddy's here,"

I could feel my heart melt at him. Her crying died down and she began to coo back at him.

"That's a good girl," he whispered ad he rocked her in his arms.

After a moment he put her down and got back to bed. He instantly pulled me into him and wrapped his arms around me.

Several hours later and it was unfortunately time to get up. We both dragged ourselves out of bed and got dressed. Pat had offered me a potion to help get rid of my bump, but I wanted to loose it the natural way. Now that I was no longer pregnant, I was able to shift into a wolf again. Selena was going to help me get back into the swing of things. I threw on some old clothes and followed her out to the back yard.

"Hows our little Alpha doing?" Asked Selena.

"She was up all night?" I groaned stretching.

That alarmed her.

"Is she alright?" She panicked.

I smiled reassuringly at her.

"She's just fine," I said.

I spent the morning pushing myself to get back into the swing of shifting. My body was all sore and tense from being pregnant and the bump certainly was not helping, but by the end I had gotten much better. I went upstairs to have a shower and get dressed after all the sweating I did. Now that Grace was born and safe, Red and Arrow moved back to the palace to give us some space. We were due to go visit them and discuss plans for Ruby and Graces future together. Brison and I had thought it would be a good idea to let them grow up separately, so they could date other people before they committed to one an other, which was destined to happen. We just wanted to give our baby as normal a childhood as possible.

Meanwhile in the vampire kingdom, Red was attending a delegation in the palace with state officials over a massacre in the mermaid realm. They had returned to their usual duties, but things were different now that they had a baby. As Red was laying the facts on an ignorant general, Arrow opened the two big doors to the parliament and walked in.

"Red, the maids have told me that Ruby was to be taken outside for some  sun shine," he said.

"We're having a meeting right now," Red told him.

"Can you please tell them that Ruby takes a nap now and that she doesn't need sun shine," he told her

"No. Ruby gets sun shine at this time. Now please, we have things to sort out," she said

"Since when does she get sun shine at this time. Since when does she need sun shine?" He asked.

"Since I said so and I'm her mother," She told him

"And I'm her father,"

"Arrow could I speak to you for a moment?" She asked standing up from her seat at the head table.

"In private."

Her and Arrow marched into a small side room and she closed the door behind them.

"I am in the middle of something very important," Complained Red.

"Ruby is a vampire. Vampire's don't like the sun," Argued Arrow.

"Yes she is a vampire, a vampire who is mated to a werewolf and they do need sunshine. That means she'll have to build a tolerance to it,"

"Fair enough, but I think now is a good time for her to have a nap because she just fed. Why don't you just make it sunnier later,"

"Well I can't just go fucking with the weather in the middle of growing season for the non-vampire citizens. Some of them have farms Arrow and they need the crops,"

"Well why does it have to be now?"

"This is the time of day when there is the most sunshine,"

"And how do you know that?" He asked

"I hired a meteorologist," She told him.

"A meteorologist?"

"From the fairy realm,"

"Oh really?"

Just outside the door, noisy diplomats, had their ears pressed up to the door, in an effort to hear what they were saying. Red had however ensured that the side rooms were all sound proof. Without a warning the door burst open, knocking several of them down. Out strutted Red flicking her hair off of her shoulder and behind her a very defeated Arrow. As he walked off to the door to leave, Red called out to him.

"Darling," She called.

"Yes honey?" He replied, clearly no longer angry.

"Could you please send Alexandru and Natasha to collect Brison, Elli and Grace," She said.

"Is that today?" He asked.

"Yep. The sooner we get this done the better," She told him sitting down.

"Oh and please make sure that the refreshments in the limo are not blood," She requested.

"Of course. Good luck with the meeting," He said and left.

"Now, shall we continue?" Asked Red.
