Red had been in there for almost two hours to no avail. I sat outside with the murderer, listening to his howls of pain and whimpers for mercy. They would stop every now and again, only to erupt and peirce their ears. Even though I knew this was all to find the girls, I could not help to pity Marco. Red was not a bad person, but she was a harsh person and loved her daughter feircly. What she was doing was for the greater good, but that did not mean in was not in emence pain. It was apperent from his screams of agony.
Only lord knows what she was doing to him. Alhough I did not want to, I began to wonder what she was doing. I could not help it. It was right there in front of me. Just opposite that door. It took over my whole mind and made me physically sick. I knew she could control fire so perhaps she was branding him or setting parts of him on fire. She was also super strong. Maybe she was crushing his hands or breaking limbs. Was she using her fangs? Do vampire bites hurt more than usual bites do. What was she doing that was causing him to make such horrifing noise and desprate pleas.
I began to wonder how many time Red had done something like this that she was able to stomach it for so lot. How could she inflict such pain on to someone begging for help and not take a break to get some air or clear her head. Neither of them had even left the room. Had Someone ever done something like this to Red before. I then remember how on the day the girls were kidnapped, she told us of how she was once tied to a tree and left to die with chains made from sunshine. Days unend of burning in the sun, in front of your dead dog. If she could survive that no wonder this was a walk in the park for her.
"ALRIGHT.......Alright," He finally said.
Heavy sobs came echoing out and bounced around the hallway where we were. It was finally over. There was complete slience until Red swung open the door. She still had hold of Marco, by the back of the collar. He stood there trembling and sobbing. His hands had blisters and and so had parts of his neck aling with a stinging red glow. She had used fire on him
"We're leaving," She said walking past me.
I quickly got to my feet and followed her dragging the murderer with me. We made our way back up through the old building and out to the car. She shoved him to the passangers seat. There was no need to starp him in this time. He was going nowhere. She opened the back door for me and I jumped in with the murderer. She got in herself and took off. It was still night out so the streets were still empty. She drove at her usual breakneck speed, so it was not long before we came to a stop. We were parked outside an apartment building. She sat for a moment, contimplating something, before finally nodding her head in conclusion.
"Its better to keep him with me," she said to herself.
"Right. Ellie you'll have to change into your human form. You're all coming with me," she instructed.
"I have a change of clothes for you, don't worry," she said and got out.
As Marco's hands were burnt and scalded, she opened the door for him and for me. This time she reached in and dragged the murderer out herself. She held him by the neck and brought him close to her face. She threatened him in Italian and he nodded.
"You can go get dressed," she said handing me a bag.
"He's not going anywhere now,"
I took the bag between my teeth and hoped out of the car. I hide behind some bins, transformed and quickly got dressed. I joined the group and again and awaited instrustions from Red. She was holding the Murderer by the arn and dragged him over to the entrance.
"Marco! Code!" She demanded looking at the dial on the wall.
"44367," he answered quickly.
She entered the code and the door buzzed open. She pushed it in and stood back waiting for us to go in first. Marck hesitated for a moment, so I shoved him on the back forcing him in. Once we were all in, Red turned to him again.
"Come on. His apartment?"
Marco pressed the button for the elevator and we got in. He pressed for floor 3 and we began to make our way there. Once we stood outside the door Red pulled out a clip and picked open his door lock.
"If he is home, I'll put you back in that chair and it'll be the last thing you remember," she warned before making her way in.
All the lights were off and the small apartment was completely still. Red began to search the house and was onmy satisfied once she was sure it was empty.
"Alright Marco. I want you to stand in the leaving room right in front of the front door. When he comes in you don't say so much as hello to him. I need to be sure this is really him. If it is he'll know you. How much longer until he's home?"
"Half an hour,"
"Alright. Come on Ellie," she instructed and we hid behind the wall facing Marco, where this guy would not see us.
We all stayed still for what seemed like the longest time until eventually there was the sound of a key in the door. He door opened and someone walked in.
"Oh! Marco. What are you doing here? Is everything ok?" He asked.
That was all it took. We finally got him. Our ticket.
"Why won't you answer me?" He said beginning to panic.
He hurried into the room, unaware of what was awaiting him. As soon as he stood in with his back to us, Red stood forward with a lamp she had quitely picked up and smashed it off the back of his head, sending him tumbling to the floor, out cold.
