Fay sat on the floor of her room, hugging her knees. Time was up. The demon king was coming for her. Her father had immedeatly sent for help to the vampires. Much to their despair, they could not reach them, as they were already in a heated war with the witches and communicating with them was impossible. They were to strict to allow anything in or out. They were left with no options. Their small nation was not prepared for war. No great weapons, no experienced generals, no chance of beating an army like the demons had.

Edith had taken control of planning their escape. It had taken many heated discussions with the king to convince him to give her the authority she needed for it to work. He feared what they would do to Fay if they caught her trying to run. He was also reluctant to let kae go. He had never had to deal with a crisis at this scale before. Every new idea he was presented was met with over assesment and the creation of horrific outcomes if it failed. Edith finally convinced him to trust her.

Their discussions took place in the privacy of his study, with only the king and Edith present. Members of the kings council waited in distress, as they were kept in the dark. It seemed that the king was just going to admit defeat and let his daughter go on her own, to save her and his kingdom. Then at last minute he had a sudden change of heart. It was believed that Edith had told him a secert. Edith's origins were shadowed with secrecy. She just showed up one day. No one remembers when exactly she arrived. She just faded into their lives out of no where. When the king suddenly supported her plan, everyone speculated it was becuse she had told him of her origins and he was on board.

Between the possible reveal of Ediths past, the extent of her plan and the lose of their princess, the whole palace and indeed the kingdom of in up roar. Fay listened to the mahem outside her bedroom as she say powerless. For the past few days, all she has done is wait. Her whole body ached for kae. She needed them to wrap their arms around her and make her feel as though this entire thing was going to be fine. Doing this on her own was crippling her. She needed a shoulder to cry on. She held back tears as she thought of all that was facing her. She had been so protected that now that she was faced with a real world problem, she could not even comprehend what they would do if they caught her trying to run. She knew that nothing her innocent and niave little mind could think of could posdibly come close to what a race as derenged as the demons, were really capable of and that uncertianty paralyzed her with terror.

Her door opened and light crept in slowly, only illuminating the far side of her room. Edith slid in a shut the door behind her, pushing the light out again. Edith looked around the room, before her eyes finally landed on Fay. Her face softened and her eyebrows dropped, as her eyes filled with pity. She walked over slowly and sat down beside her with her back aganist the wall. Fay didn't move. She was so fixed in this one state that if she stirred, she feared breaking into uncontrollable tears. Edith put her around her shoulder and pulled Fay into a hug, wrapping both arms around her. The sudden desplay of love in such darkness moved Fay so much that she could not stop herself from crying. Edith rubbed her shoulders as she hugged her tighter.

"Cry as much as you need to. This will be tough and you'll need this out of you system. You have an other while to go, so just let it out for now," Edith whispered.

That only made her cry more. Fay then noticed how her tears were wetting Edith's shoulder, as she had hide her face there.

"I-I'm sorry about your shoulder," she chocked out between sobs.

Edith only shhed her.

"Don't worry about that. It'll dry," she answered.

Fay sat there with Edith for what seemed like forever. Eventually there were no more tears. It truly was all out of her system and she did feel better. Having Edith there made her feel stronger. She knew she was not going to be left on her own. She really did have people who were looking out for her. Edith eventually pulled away, but Fay did not mind. She was all healed now and ready to stand on her own. She just needed a rest and to recharge. Edith stood up first and offered her hand down to Fay, who gladly took it. Edith pulled her to her feet and then stood next to her, putting her hand on her back. She guided her over to the door. She stopped and checked over Fay. She fixed her hair and smoothened down her dress.

The two ladies left the room and made their way to the grand hall. Suddenly there was a rucas is the palace and they assumed that the Demon king had arrived. As they approached the small door that was positioned off the the side of the throne so the king could have quick access, Edith gave Fay's hand one last squeese. She opened the door and Fay walked right through, into the head of the throne room. As she walked further in she could get a clearer veiw of the room. She noticed how everyone from court filled the hall on either side with the floor clear. The king stood in front of his throne and looked down on his daughter. He knew there was a plan in place and was trying his hardest not to give it away. However, he was still heartbroken at the thought of losing his daughter. Holding it together he took her hand and walked her down through the hall.

In front of them stood Alexander and his gaurds. He beemes with happiness as he watched Fay approach him. She she walked she passed by the ten people she would be taking with her. 5 men and 5 women. Amoung them was Kae. Luckily they all had their head bowed so Fay did not have to fight the urge to look back into their eyes. She just kept het head forward. When they reached Alexander, her Father reluctantly let go of her had. He gave her a kiss on the top of her forehead and then Alexander stepped in. Swooping her away, he looked back at her father.

"I promise to love and care for her dor the rest of my life," He proclaimed.

Her Father couldn't even summon a response to him. He simply closed his eyes and nodded.

"Lets away my love," He whispered to Fay.

Alexander began to exit and the gaurds followed. Fay, holding his hand while he guided her along, kept her head high and refused to look back at kae, whi she knew to be followig behind. She exited the palace for the last time. Everything was so still and quiet. It seemed as though the whole world did not care and this night only meant the ruination for her small life, with no signifigance. She had always left so small and tonight was no different. But every step she took forward was a step closer to making history and changing the world as the knew it.
