The Fire {Laurisa}

Lauren's POV:
It was 7:30am on a Wednesday, I loved Wednesdays because we had music class and cooking! Today, in groups of 4, we had to make a cake with a moving lever. Our group had decided on a sushi table, it spins round and round. I'm really excited to make it!
"We gotta go!" Screams Amy from downstairs.
"Coming" Everyone who is going to school shouts back.
"Bye Ladybug! Have a great day at school! Love you" Lisa says as she hugs me goodbye. I do the same and tell her I love her.
Dani, the boys and I all get into Amy's car and drive to school.
- at school -
"Have a great day everyone!" Amy says from the car. We say goodbye and go our separate ways. I walk to my locker and see my friends there.
"Hey Laur! So excited to make this cake!" My friend, Ally says.
"I'm so excited! It's gonna be lit!" I reply and everyone agrees.
- cooking class -
"Girls, you have 40 minutes left, start finishing and cleaning up!" Our teacher, Miss C says. Our cake looks amazing! I look around and see some people are not finished, one group start to put their cake in the oven and the others start cleaning. We are nearly done so I go to wash up.
"Oh my gosh!" I hear someone scream loudly. Suddenly this huge flame appears, close to me too. Everyone's screaming and panicking as the alarm goes off and every class rushes outside. Most people think it's a drill so they take their time but no one knows we're here!
"Is everyone okay?!?" Miss C, screams over the chaos.
"Girls! Stay quiet and calm, people are coming to help us!" She says again.
The fire is so spread out now and I piece it together. The group that was putting their cake in the oven when we started washing up, their oven caught on fire, it was a small flame at first but it soon spread and people started to scream. Now the fire surrounds the whole classroom, blocking out the entrance to the doors or windows. We are officially trapped.
I look at my group, Ally, Lexi and Olivia. I can barely make them out but I figure where they are. The fire is so close to me, I can feel the warmth. In a few seconds, I'm like positive, I'm gonna die. I can't do much, just sit and watch.
- 30 minutes later -
Clara's POV;
I'm not in the same class as Lauren, Olivia, Lexi or Ally but were all really good friends. We were in math class and then suddenly the fire alarm went off. Everyone scurried to the field, but we thought it was a drill. Turns out it wasn't and 9H (the class with Laur and them) aren't here. Firefighters have gone to look for them but I'm so worried.
Lauren's POV;
Something lifts me up, I don't know what it is but I'm being pulled away from something. I realise I blacked out because of the fire. I look down and I see my body is full of burns, then I turn on my side and everything goes black.
Lisa's POV;
Everyone, including Dani and the boys were at home chilling. Dani and the boys are in different grades then Laur so those finish earlier.
I hear the phone ring and I get up to answer.
"Hello?" I say
"Good Afternoon, I'm calling from St. Elizabeth's school, unfortunately, the class of 9H were cooking when a terrible fire happened, Lauren was included in this fire and is currently in the hospital. We need you all there right away please" She says urgently.
I hang up, I don't mean to be rude but my heart sinks to my stomach. Lauren. Fire. School. Is all that goes through my head. I can't take it anymore and then I just scream and cry.
"LAUREN! FIRE! SCHOOL!" I scream to no one in particular but everyone here's me and rushes towards me.
"What did you say?" Everyone asks
"There was a fire in Lauren's cooking class, she's in the hospital. We need to go!" I say in one breathe, still crying.
Everyone is speechless, we rush to the hospital immediately.
- at the hospital -
Lauren's POV;
I open my eyes and I'm laying in a bed somewhere. I realise it's the hospital just by the smell. I then remember the fire and everything. I see a figure, holding my hand with a head laying on the bed. They look like there sleeping but I want to know who this is. I look properly and realise it's Lisa and Christina on my other side.
I squeeze their hands, they wake up.
"Lauren!!!!" They scream and everyone looks up at us.
Everyone came over to me and told me that they loved me and how sorry they are.
"Ladybug, are you okay?" Lisa whispers in my ear.
I shake my head, I hurt everywhere.
Christina saw us and went up to get the doctor.
"Hello Lauren. Well I'm not too sure if you remember but you were in a fire accident. You have a lot of 3rd degree burns that need taken care of so you're gonna have to stick around here for a week but with if you're body responds well, you may be out in 3 days. Call us if you need anything" he says with a smile and walks away.
I sigh, a week in a hospital?! No thanks.
"Guys, go home and get some rest. I wanna be with my Ladybug tonight!" Lisa says, Christina tells us she'll be back early tomorrow. They hug me, say they love me and tell me they'll be back soon.
Lisa and I cuddle up together, careful of my burns and start talking.
"Ladybug! When I heard that you were in an accident, I couldn't move or breathe. I just wonder what I'd do if you weren't here anymore, truth is, id die, you are my best friend and I love you so much! I can't live without you Ladybug! Promise to never leave me?" Lisa says hugging me tight.
"I promise, I love you Lisa" I say
"Love you too bug" she says back
"So, do you want to talk or rest?" Lisa asks me
"Sleep but will you sleep next to me?" I ask
"Of course! That's what big sisters are for!" She says with a smile
Lisa kisses my forehead and tells me how much she missed me and how much she loves me. I tell her the same and snuggle closer to her.
We fall asleep, peaceful in each other's arms
A/N - I actually had a dream about this (it wasn't Lauren cim tho) and it was pretty scary tbh lmao 😹 sorry for the lack of updates, been super busy lately so this is kind of a filler, wrote it really quickly so sorry for any mistakes x 💙
