Lauren's POV;
"Going shopping!" I hear Kath scream from downstairs. I quickly drop my math textbook on the floor and run downstairs. I smile up to Kath and use my puppy eyes.
"Fineeee, you can come too but you have to do your work when we get back okay?" Kath says and I nod.
Our car ride was filled with laughter and music. I really love these moments.

-- at the mall --

"Okay so we need to go grocery shopping first but afterwards we can get some clothes and Starbucks."
"Sure" I say back.
After our grocery shopping, Kath and I were just chilling and looking in Forever 21 for clothes.
"Oh my gosh!!! Don't look now but Jack's over there!!!" I squeal to Kath. Jack is Kath's biggest crush, she doesn't shut up about him! I have a feeling that Jack likes her too.

Kath's POV;
"Oh my gosh!!! Don't look now but Jack's over there!!!" My sister, Lauren squeals out. I instantly start blushing. Jack is the kindest and hottest person ever! He's got blue eyes and brown hair and he's perfect!
"Should I go over there?" I ask Laur
"Wait a few minutes first. He might come over"
We went back to looking at clothes and accessories. Jack never came over so without thinking I went over to him.
"Hey Jack!" I say giving him a hug.
"Oh, hey Kath!" He says with such a cute smile. Shoot! Kath stop staring!
"How are you?"
"Okay thanks, you?"
"Good"
"So what brings you here?" I say
"Oh, I'm looking for a little something to give to this girl I like. I don't know if she knows I like her but I really do" Jack says. I instantly blush. I notice Lauren in the corner smirking like an idiot and have the biggest smile on my face.
"Aw that's cute!! Who is it?" I ask
"Oh, you know her. I have to go, we'll talk later?" Jack says and gives me a hug.
"Of course! Bye" I say. He says bye back.
Lauren comes over to me and we start jumping around like idiots.
"He's going to ask you out!" She says
"I hope so!" I say
"I knew he liked you!"
We decided to get Starbucks and then head home.

Lauren's POV;
I was chilling on the couch with Lisa, talking about random stuff. I scroll through my instagram and see Jack has posted a picture. I look through it and see it's another girl and him kissing! Oh my gosh! No! I look closely at the girl and see, it's none other than Katherine's best friend, Sarah. Sarah knows how much Kath likes Jack and she goes to date him??? What is this chick doing?!? 
Then I figure I should call Kath and tell her. She's currently at a friend's house.
K - Hey Laur? Everything okay?
L - Not exactly. I need you to come home
K - What's wrong?
L - I'm sorry Kath
K - What?
L - Just come home, please?
K - On my way sweetie!

Ugh how can Jack not see how perfect Kath is? He's such an idiot and I'm honestly going to break him. No one hurts my best friend. I may be 15 and he may be like 23 but I'm not afraid to rip his guts out!

10 minutes later and Kath is home.

I take her hand into the backyard and we sit on the grass outside.
"Kath, I hate to say this but look what I found" I say and pull out the instagram picture of Jack and Sarah kissing.
Kath gasps, a few tears roll down her cheeks.
"W-What? How can this happen?" Kath says, heartbroken. I knew she would be, ever since last year August, Jack and her have had a "fling". They talked for hours on end and at some point even started flirting with each other. They never really stopped. Kath must have thought that Jack was going to make it official. Like ask her out.
"I'm so sorry Kath! I'm going to kill him!" I say, anger in my voice. I wipe away her tears and hug her tight. She hugs back and cries into my shoulder.
"I really thought he liked me! He called me beautiful and started flirting with me! One day he even said that he would make me his wife one day!" Kath says. I don't really know what to say as this has never happened to me before. So I just listen to Kath and hug her.
"Do you want me to get Chris? Or Amy? I don't really have much experience with boys" I say.
"No, don't worry sweetie. You can stay. I want your company." Kath says, I smile and snuggle close to her.
"So, what are we going to do about this?" I ask Kath
She looks down at me and kisses my forehead.
"Nothing Laur, don't worry about it. Obviously I had more feelings than him and that's okay. Sometimes things just don't work out the way you want it too" Kath says calmly. I'm definitely not going to do nothing though. He freaking hurt my best friend! He's going to pay.
"But he hurt you!! Kath, you're like my best friend and sometimes you're way too sweet and kind to people but trust me on this, I'm not going to do nothing! I can't stand seeing you upset or heartbroken it hurts me so much! I look up to you a lot Kath. You're like my biggest inspiration. I love you!" I say, I look over at Kath and she has a huge smile but is crying. I hug her.
"Laurie! You're the sweetest 15 year old I know! Never catch feelings for a stupid guy, okay? I don't want to see you hurt ever and the fact that you're my best friend means so much to me. You're so special to me Laur! I love you a lot. Please don't go hurting any guy that hurts me, they are not worth our time!" Kath says and we're pretty much about to cry. I hug her and we lie down on the grass.
"I just can't believe him"
"Neither can I, Laurie"
"Can we talk to him tomorrow?"
"Why?"
"Please Kath?"
"Just let it go sweetie"
"But I can't! He can't get away with hurting you!"
"We'll talk about this later, now I have pasta to make. Wanna help?" Kath says giving me a smirk.
"Obviously" I run up with Kath and we run into the kitchen and start.
Kath and I are super close and we love each other like best friends. I'm so glad we're close!
