Lauren's POV:

I'm currently at the studio with all of my sisters just working on a few songs and covers. Truth is, I haven't been feeling well at all this week so I messed up at least a hundred times during my parts. My sisters said it was fine, but deep down I knew that they were all getting annoyed.

It was my turn to sing again, as I began my part of the chorus, I immediately broke out into a huge coughing fit which angered Christina.

"Really Lauren?! Can you not do anything right?! Oh my gosh!" Christina shouted and rolled her eyes while I was still coughing. She slammed her hand down on the table and sighed.

"Lisa. Go and do your part." She said bluntly. Lisa got up while giving me a sympathetic look as she traded places with me. I went to go sit back down on the couch while Lisa sang.

"Are you okay Lo?" Kath asked me from across the couch, all I could do was shake my head in a nod. She gave me an unconvincing look but then focused her attention back to our music producer.

I laid myself down on the couch, holding my throbbing head in my hands, while I curled into a ball.

"Lauren, go home." Lisa said. She came out of the booth and took one glance at me sympathetically.

"I-I'm o-oka-," I began to say but was interrupted by another coughing fit. My throat was on fire and my head ached.

"No Lauren. Go home," Christina then said, giving me a stern look. Knowing I wouldn't win this one, I forced myself up and grabbed my things.

Before I left, Christina shouted for me to come to her, which I did.

"Feel better," She said calmly and brought me into a warm hug. She whispered a 'love you' into my ear.

"Thank you," was all I could mumble out while I let go of the hug. Christina must have felt really bad for what she said as she had a guilty look in her eyes when giving me a hug.

Since Lisa was my ride and I didn't have my license yet, I phoned my mom to come and fetch me from the studio.

"Lauren?" I hear a voice asked from downstairs. I looked over to my alarm and realised it was 3pm. Did I really nap for three hours?

"Up here." I shout back, my voice a little croaky. I hear footsteps climb up the stairs and then my door opens to reveal Christina.

"Hey bug," She tells me while coming over to hug me. She gives me chocolate, magazines and chips while she makes herself comfy on my bed.

"Are you feeling any better?" She asks me and I shake my head no.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier baby girl. I didn't mean it, I was just stressed and tired and I know that's not an excuse but," Christina rambles on but I cut her off.

"It's okay Chris. I understand." She nods her head while giving me a small smile. I let out a big yawn while rubbing my eyes.

"Here get some sleep bug," Chris says while getting into the other side of my bed and cuddling up next to me. She wraps her arms around me while I snuggle up to her chest. In a few seconds, I'm in a deep sleep.

I gently open my eyes to see my sisters sitting on my bed and my floor, all whispering to Chris and each other. Christina is still beside me, stroking my back and playing with my hair.

"Hi Laur," Lisa notices that I'm awake now and gives me a smile while everyone turns to look at me. I give her a small smile but receive a wave of nausea and in one swift moment I'm reaching to my bin, throwing up.

Christina rubs my back until I've finished and Kath brings me some water and gum.

"Oh Laur" Chris says while I rest my head back down on my pillow.

She puts her hand on my forehead and instantly brings it away in shock.

"Oh my goodness Laur, you're burning up." She tells me and gives me a look of concern.

She tells Amy to fetch the first aid kit and Lisa to bring me some soup and painkillers.

Once Amy returns, she takes out all the medical stuff and takes my temperature.

"Geez Laur. Looks like you have a fever bug," She says and I groan. She rests her head next to mine while stroking my arm and playing with the ends of my hair.

Lisa returns with soup and painkillers, I slowly eat a bit of it and then take them.

Christina then kisses my forehead while holding my hand.

"I'm hot," I groan and kick the covers off of me while Christina tells someone to get me some ice. She places the ice on my forehead making me shiver at the coldness of it.

— skip two days —

I'm still sick in bed but it's gotten so bad that I can barely leave. Christina has never left my side and has always made sure that I have everything I need and that I'm okay. Honestly, Christina is the best person you could have when you're sick. She will treat you like her child, but that also could be that Chris and I are super close.

"Here you go sweetie," Christina says as she places some soup and water on my bedside table. I thank her while she climbs into my bed with me.

"Chris, I'm scared you're going to get sick now." I tell her while she takes out the first aid kit from under my bed to check my temperature again.

"Don't worry about me Lo," She tells me then places a quick kiss to my forehead while taking out her supplies.

She checks my temperature, my ears and my breathing.

"Well Laur, it looks like you have the flu." She tells me while reading the temperature on the thermometer for like the eighth time today seeing how it hasn't gone down at all. I groan and rub my hands over my face.

She gives me sympathetic look while kissing my forehead once more and gives me a side hug.

"You really are my sick little child." She says which causes me to let out a small giggle, which she does too.

"Thank you for taking care of me Chrissy," I tell her while she smiles at me and kisses my forehead.

"Anything for you, baby girl." She tells me which makes me smile as I rest my head into her neck and gently fall into a deep sleep.
