Lauren's POV:

I dangle my legs off of the school roof. There's people down there, lots of them, but I doubt they can see me. They wait around, talking excitedly for first period to start.

I stand up. My hair blowing in the wind as I carefully place two feet onto the roof ledge of the school. It's freezing.

I take a deep breath and sigh. I look around. Does anyone notice the small pale girl standing on top of the edge of the school roof? No.

I close my eyes and take off my jacket. I throw it behind me. Theres a note in there. Though, I'm doubtful anyone will see it.

I look down below, the heavy chatter and the clump of people all making their way into the building now. I have a lump in my throat. Do I really want to do this? I scratch my wrists. Is it worth it?

I freeze.

"HEY! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" A voice screams from behind me. I snap my head around to look in the direction of the voice. I sigh and drop my head. The boy comes up to me and pulls me back from the ledge. I smile at him.

"Are you crazy? What were you doing?" He yells and I can see confusion in his eyes.

"Derek, please." I say while trying to walk away. He grabs my arm tightly and pulls me back.

"Lauren," He starts and looks me deeply in the eye.

"What were you doing." He says firmly. It was silent now, the people stopped talking, the birds stopped singing and the wind stopped howling.

"Just chilling. I promise." I say and give him a half hearted smile.

He doesn't look convinced. He sighs and looks at his watch on his wrist, his hand not leaving it's tight grip on my arm.

"Come on, we have to go to class." He says, I'm about to protest but he pulls me along with him. We reach the door of the roof until I remembered my jacket,

"Hey wait! My jacket!" I say and turn around to point at it.

He let's go of my arm and motions for me to get it while he waits at the door.

In one swift movement I pick up my jacket and run to the ledge. I climb onto the ledge. I can hear Dereks footsteps running behind me and his screams.

"I love you." I whisper and before he places his arm onto me, I jump.

It's cold. It's hot. It's dark. And it's fast.

Lisa's POV:

After taking Lauren to school, I gathered my things from my bedroom and went into our shared bathroom. I went into the shower.

While showering, I noticed a note on the floor next to the bath. I quickly finished up and grabbed a towel before exiting the shower.

I picked up the note that was folded into tiny pieces. I unraveled it and it was a picture.

Who drew this? I thought. I carefully looked at the picture.

There was a girl on, what looked like, a roof. Her head was down and her feet dangled off the edge.

I prayed that I was just thinking into this too much and turned over the paper. The words I read mentally broke me.

If you've found this picture, it means I've most likely done it. I've committed suicide. Please don't blame yourself, this was all me. I love you. Lauren.

I didn't realise I was crying until the tears fell onto the paper. I quickly got dressed and threw the note into my pocket.

I ran out the house, all of our siblings were at work or school. It was just me in the house today.
