George's POV:
I was waiting with Fred, Ron, and the newly disguised Harry for the wedding guests to arrive in the orchard. The muggle boy that Fred summoned the hair from to make Harry's Polyjuice potion from could easily be our cousin no questions asked. Mum made sure we all had a seating plan so everyone would be lead to the correct seat. The entrance to the marquee has dozens upon dozens of fragile looking gold chairs on either side of the purple carpet that Fleur will walk down in just a bit.
Fred and I already fastened some golden balloons over the exact point where Bill and Fleur would become husband and wife. It's a cute idea I suppose, but I honestly can't for the life of me remember any of the details from my wedding. The color of the carpet or the chairs or even the number of guests that came. I doubt I would have realized that balloons fell on us as we kissed after our vows. The only thing I remember is how beautiful she was when she walked toward me and how happy I was the entire bloody time we were there in each other's arms. I doubt Bill and Fleur will be much different.
We saw Bill earlier pacing in the kitchen and I couldn't help the smirk on my face as I was reminded of the paths that were worn down in Kitty's backyard the day of our wedding. The girls were still in the house getting ready or helping Fleur get ready at this point. Kitty was also inside fixing her own disguise just in case, even though I don't think she'll need it. Can't imagine how much torture mum is putting them all through at this point.
"When I get married, I won't be bothering with any of this nonsense. You can all wear what you like, and I'll put a full Body-Bind Curse on Mum until it's all over." (F)
"She wasn't anything like this at my wedding though I suppose it's was because Kitty's family hosted. She wasn't too bad this morning. Cried a bit about Percy not being here, but who wants him? Oh blimey brace yourselves-here they come look-" (G)
We all watched as people soon began to appear at the boundary of the yard and forming a procession through the garden. I saw the veela and even though Kitty is the most beautiful girl in my mind, I couldn't help but smile at them as they drew closer.
"Excellent, I think I see a few veela cousins. They'll need help understanding our English customs, I'll look after them..." (G)
"Not so fast, your married Holyness." (F)
I watched with a shocked smirk as Fred darted to meet them first and even greeted them in French. I helped the older witches into their seats just as Harry was approached by Tonks and Remus. Kitty said the other day she thought she knew why he had been looking more miserable than usual, even though they were happily married a few weeks ago. Oh well, on to the seating of more guests I suppose.
Kat's POV:I had just finished with my 'disguise,' which was basically making my hair red, when I was ready to head outside and find George. I had thought I should do more, but Mrs. Weasley insisted I would be fine. I can only hope she's right. I was walking down with Hermione when we met Great-Aunt Muriel. She had declined the wedding invitation to George and my wedding because of my, well she called it vampiric nature and being an American.
"Oh dear, is this is the Muggle-born? Bad posture and skinny ankles. Hmm, and the American vampire bride here as well. I suppose George could have done worse, I just hope someone fed you before the event."
I held back a laugh as I realized that the comment to me wasn't as rude as the ones to Hermione, rather entertaining from the old woman. I paused in the kitchen to see Bill pacing back and forth and I'm reminded of the paths that both George and I carved into the backyard at my home. I walk outside and am surrounded by dozens of new scents, all of them with an underlying happiness to them. I walk towards George and the rest of the group just as Hermione finishes telling them about Muriel.
"Yeah, she just told me my ears were lopsided. Old bat. I wish old Uncle Bilius was still with us, though; he was a right laugh at weddings." (G)
I held back a laugh at that comment and was almost next to George, when I smelt him arrive. The sudden scent of pine and fur causes a smile to appear on my face as I rush towards him before going back to the group. He lets out a hearty laugh as I rush into his waiting hug, my own laugh joining him.
"Kitty, ow ave you veen? Vood I ope." (V)
"Never better. I'm so happy you could make it. I suggested inviting you to Fleur and she happily agreed. Better hurry though, or you'll be late to her wedding." (K)
We both let out another laugh as we walk towards the entrance of the marquee and I see Vik's eyes go immediately to Hermione as he hands his invitation to Ron. I smile a sad smile at that, I know that her heart was already won somehow by Ron. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Vik still try.
"You look vonderful." (V)
"Viktor! I didn't know you were—goodness—it's lovely to see—how are you?" (Her)
I watched with a bit of amusement as Ron's ears turned red and George was instantly at my side smirking as well. We soon rush in to take our seats, with the trio sitting behind George, Fred, and me. When Bill and Charlie took their places up front, Fred let out a wolf-whistle that caused many of the veela cousins to laugh and I couldn't help but join with them.
As Fleur came down the aisle with Ginny and Gabriella before her, I realized just how much she was glowing. I leaned closer to George and smiled as I watched her walk down the aisle, reaching Bill who suddenly looked as if he'd never been attacked by Greyback. As we took our seats again I feel George intertwine my fingers with his and I smile as a few tears escape from my eyes. It isn't long before Mrs. Weasley and Mrs. Delacour are both sobbing into lace cloths.
As Bill and Fleur kissed, a shower of silver stars fell upon them and around them, with the golden balloons that Fred and George having set up falling as well. A few seconds later and the party is in full swing with a dance floor. After Fleur and Bill danced their first dance George led me out to the dance floor. I laughed as he spun me around a few times before pulling me close.
"You know I like your hair in any color Kitty but I would have preferred your brown curls over the red ones tonight." (G)
"Oh really? Well I don't think you'd mind it if I looked like one of the veela cousins either love." (K)
"Kitty I will always name you as the most beautiful girl in the world I-" (G)
"Shh, George I'm only joking, Fred told me to tease you about it." (K)
I see as his smile returns as he mutters something about getting the git later. I can only laugh as he spins me around the dance floor for a few more dances, passing Fred and Angelina as well as Lee and Alicia as we go around. I can't help but want this moment in time to last forever, just as I wished for it to last forever on our wedding.
