Chapter 51

George's POV:

I smiled as she crashed my lips against hers, this kiss fiercer more passionate than our usual public kisses, but I know it's because we're both worried about losing one another. I hear Scar gently call her name as she pulls away from me. I look into the beautiful silver eyes before I feel Fred place a hand on my shoulder telling me we need to go.

"I love you Katherine. Be safe." (G)

"You too, both of you." (K)

I watched as she joined Scar, Aleric, and the O'Larry's with the ground fighters. I turned and saw the group that had been given to use to guard the passageways. Fred and I split the group up six ways to cover the entrances that opened directly into the castle, whoever uses the one under the whomping willow will have enough to worry about and we shouldn't be needed. Fred and I placed the groups before setting off towards the last two.

"Alright there Freddie?" (G)

"Yeah." (F)

"Yeah me too." (G)

I hugged my twin before we each went down a different corridor to guard the secret passageways, making sure that nothing came out of them. My mind drifts back to Freddie and Kitty, wanting nothing more than their safety tonight. I smile at Alicia and Angelina as we keep our wands raised towards the dark entrance, waiting and hoping nothing climbs out of it.

Kat's POV:

"Alright, Aleric, O'Larry's, Scar, Kat, Lavender, and Parvarti will go with Arthur into the main grounds. But first, Aleric and Kat, I must ask if you will help evacuate the younger students." (Remus)

"Of course Remus." (K)

I nodded to him as we ran in a blur towards the Room of Requirement where students were waiting to leave through the passageway. I helped the injured ones and the smaller ones climb the ladders as quickly as they could. Ushering them to hurry, while trying not to panic anyone. What seemed like hours passed when in reality it only took maybe five minutes before the last child was evacuated, leaving only Ginny in the room.

I was about to leave the room again with Aleric to head down into the courtyard when I heard footsteps coming out of the tunnel. I turned with my wand raised as Aleric crouched, letting out a sigh of relief as I saw Tonks step out followed by an older woman that I knew instantly as Neville's gran. I collided with Tonks for a hug before I stepped back from wanting to shake her and ask her what's wrong with her for coming here.

"Tonks? You idiot, what are you doing here?" (K)

"I couldn't stay away, not while he was here. I had to come, and Teddy will sleep the night away at my mother's snoring, just like his father." (T)

"Ah Katherine Weasley, I'm Mrs. Longbottom, Neville's gran. I've heard many great things about you dear. You're remarkably brave." (Gran)

"Uh.....thank you. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." (K)

I hears footsteps behind me and was relieved to see that Hermione and Ron turned up, even if they did smell like the black lake a bit too much for my liking. I heard Ginny and Tonks ask if everyone was alright, before Harry told them. Tonks sprinted out of the room in search of Remus, while Mrs. Longbottom when down to find Neville. When Harry told Ginny that she too would have to leave for a few minutes, I knew that getting her to come back in would be difficult to say the least.

I rushed out with Aleric, followed by the trio. I nodded to Aleric who rushed into the fighting without me as I stood by Tonks and Ginny for a moment. I watched as Ginny took out a Death Eater as Aberforth ran through the fighting. I saw Hagrid's half-brother among them all, and shook my head before I saw Greyback in the distance.

I hissed as I left the trio, Ginny, and Tonks at the top of the stairs and headed towards the courtyard. I passed Fred, Lee, and Hannah Abbott at one of the secrete passageways. Stopping only a moment to kiss him on the check and tell him to be careful, watching my step as the entire castle seems to shake.

"Nice night for it!" (F)

"Yeah, it's just bloody brilliant. Stay safe!" (K)

I rushed into the courtyard only to dodge a killing curse shot at me by Yaxley. I hissed as his eyes seemed to laugh at my anger. I've been waiting for this moment for quite some time, and as Aleric appeared behind him I smirked as I fired a few stunning spells his way as a distraction, watching with pleasure as Aleric suddenly sunk his teeth into Yaxley's shoulder. He drops his wand as the pain sears through his body even after Aleric has left go. I see Aleric pick up his wand and pocket it, nodding towards me as he sprints off in another direction.

I watched as Remus suddenly landed on the ground in front of me, Dolohov smirking as he raised his wand. I shot the cruciatus curse at him, watching as Remus pulled himself up from the ground and nodded to me in thanks. I cast off the curse just as I picked up a bitter scent that made Remus's look dull in comparison. I heard a scream and saw a young boy thrown across the courtyard, hitting the stone floor and becoming very still.

I turned toward the person that threw him, expecting one of the more experienced Death Eaters, but coming across Greyback. I sprint in front of him hissing as he snarls at me, three times the animal and monster that Remus and I put together could ever be. He seems to recognize me after a moment, before he throws his head back and laughs.

"You! You were the little wench that stopped me from killing that bloke last year. Well I think I owe you for that don't I? Let's see if a half-vamp can survive a werewolf bite like a full one can eh?" (Greyback)

He sprung at me as I dodged and hiss, both of us shooting curses at each other but not hitting the target. He bares his sharpened yellow teeth at me again before crouching and I remember Sirius being able to somewhat control Remus in his Animagus form. He wasn't hurt when Remus bit him in that form. I smirk at the lowlife before rolling my shoulders and shifting into my lioness form, snarling as I do.

"Hahahahah this is even better. Here kitty, kitty, kitty." (Greyback)

I roar before I crouch down on the ground and spring at him full force. I'm hit with a stunning spell but since I was vamped out before I shifted into the lioness it does little other than annoy me. I feel my jaws lock on his wand arm, my claws raking their way across his face and shoulder. He screams out in pain and anger before he throws me off him, but not before I managed to break his wand with my bite. I shift back as he looks at the broken remains of his wand, hissing at him as he turns towards me again, his shoulder and face bleeding from the claw marks.

"You....you little bitch!" (Greyback)

"Stupefy!" (K)

I watched as the red steak hit him directly in the chest, making him fly backward into a stone that had been blasted away from the castle wall a few moments ago. I see his eyes close as he hits the wall and I rush forward, binding him just in case he does wake up.

"Now who's the little bitch." (K)
