Kat's POV:

I look at the picture of George and I at our wedding, neither of the painting figures looking at me only staring at each other. I trace his face gently with my eyes before I look to see a picture of us from our time here at Hogwarts. I don't even know how he got these photos, but I'm so thankful that he did. I smile as I wipe away the tears, unpacking my trunk and getting settled in the room. I place the radio on the side table and Moonlight's bed beside my own. Ginny is bringing her tomorrow, though honestly I was worried about her coming.

But I think that I will have just as much to worry about if she stayed at the Burrow. She gets into almost as much trouble as I do when no one is watching her. I let my hair down out of the bun before I walk back out into the common room. I set a password lock on my door, making the password George, before I smile and walk towards the window. It's then that my smile fades some as I see a few Dementors gliding around the school boundaries.

I walk back into my room before grabbing a dark hooded cloak and walking over to the fireplace. I throw in some floo powder, thankful to see the flames glow green before stepping in and shouting out the Hog's Head. I land in the soot covered chimney with a thud before looking up and catching the eye of the bar tender, who I now know as Aberforth, Dumbledore's brother.

I nod a short greeting to him, avoiding eye contact with any of the other patrons of the bar. Knowing that there is at least one Death Eater among them I'm sure. I walk outside and towards Honeyduke's, a bit surprised and relieved to see it's still open. I walk in and smell the familiar chocolates and honey smell but I also smell the fear coming off the owner. I lower my hood and smile at her as she seems to recognize me and offers a slight smile in return.

I walk down the shelves grabbing as many chocolate frogs, bars, and anything else I can think to help with the effects of the Dementors before walking to the counter. I grab all the animal blood pops that she has in stock to use during my four weeks as the Carrow's assistant. I look over the rest of the shop quickly, grabbing a few more bars of chocolate before turning to the witch at the counter.

"Hogwarts?"

"Yes ma'am, newest teacher assistant but I was a student there a year or two ago. I usually came in with the Weasley Twins." (K)

"I thought you looked familiar dear. How are things....up at the school?"

"Will I be able to pre-order a larger supply of chocolate bars and more blood pops? I fear that the students will be in need of the chocolate this year." (K)

"Of course. Let me get you a case from downstairs."

She quickly disappears downstairs before returning with a very large case of chocolate bars and I smile as she adds it to my other supplies. I pay the 22 galleons and eleven sickles that it all costs before putting it all in a shopping bag that Hermione added an undetectable extension charm to. I've never been more grateful for that until now. I raise my hood before leaving Honeyduke's, the witch wishing me luck with the start of the term, me thanking her in return.

I walked back to the Hog's Head, nodding to Aberforth again as I passed by him, flooing to the Gryffindor tower as soon as the flames turned green. I cast a quick glance around the common room before walking back to my room. I place the chocolates on one side of the room and the blood pops under the bed before I find myself pacing the common room.

A nervous habit that I've had since I was younger, pacing whenever my mind is going crazy as it is now. Vik used to tease me about it, saying that's how I was always in such 'vreat shape.' Now my mind is racing as I think of the arrival of the students, the events that will take place at the feast, and of how much George will be worrying over the next few weeks. I can only hope that he won't give me anything to worry about while I'm here.

Ginny's POV:

"Ginny dear be careful." (Mrs. W)

"I will mum I promise. I love you." (Gin)

I gave mum one last hug before I turned to George and Fred, getting nearly choked by their hug. George hands me a letter for Kat and I give him a soft smile promising I'll give it to her as soon as I see her. I hear the whistle for the train and I climb on board and wave, seeing the looks of worry and fear not only on their faces but on everyone at the station. I started to look for an empty compartment or even one with friends as the train moved out of sight of the station.

"Hello Ginny." (Luna)

"Luna, it's nice to see you. Do you have anywhere to sit?" (Gin)

"No, not yet." (Luna)

"Well I guess we should-" (Gin)

"Ginny! Luna!' (Nev)

"Neville!" (Gin)

"I'm glad I found you. Seamus and me, we got a table up front with a few others if you want to join us." (Nev)

Luna and I both nods towards the invitation and follow him back down the corridor, the whispers of students about what to expect at Hogwarts echoing in each compartment we pass. He lets us go through first and Seamus stands to give us both a hug before sitting back down. I look around the compartment and see the Patel twins, Lavender Brown, and Michael Corner in here as well. It could be a worse group to ride with though I suppose, could be stuck with a few of the Death Eater's kids.

"Nice holiday?" (Nev)

I raise an eyebrow at his question, surely he's joking. I see the look in his eye as he nods and says his was the same as mine more or less. I see that Seamus isn't as talkative as he usually is, but I also know how worried he is about Dean. We're all worried for our friends that couldn't return to Hogwarts because of the Toad's stupid law.

"Any news on the new professors?" (Nev)

"Well we'll find out tonight I suppose, but Kat's got a job there." (Gin)

"Really? I wondered why I saw George at the station but not Kat." (Nev)

"Well guess we got a chance then don we?" (Seamus)

I offer a slight nod as we spend the next few minutes in silence as the landscape rushes by. No one in the compartment is speaking much and it isn't until the train begins to come to a slow stop that any of us look out the windows.

"I don't believe it." (Nev)

I watch with everyone else as Death Eaters walk onto the train. I hear the whispers along the train suddenly die out as the sound of heavy footsteps approach the front of the train. A man that I know as a Death Eater only because the old wanted posters from before steps into the compartment.

"My father will hear about this." (Corner)

It takes everything in me not to roll my eyes at Michael as he tries to threaten the Death Eater that could care less about his father or even him. I know who they're searching for on the train and it makes me smirk some to think that he must be getting desperate in finding him.

"Hey, losers. He isn't here." (Nev)

"No he is not. Name?" (D.E.)

"Longbottom." (Nev)

"He's a pureblood." (D.E. #2)

"Pity, I was hoping you were a mudblood." (D.E.)

I felt my face grow red as he used that foul word, but feeling proud that Neville stood up to them so quickly. He never would have done that in the past, and I'm surprised at his rebelliousness now. I wonder if he's channeling the twins or even Harry somehow. Either way, I can't wait to tell Kat about this when we get to Hogwarts. She will be proud of Neville too I know, and she won't be too pleased about the Death Eaters.
