Kat's POV:

I wasn't really sure how many days I had been down here, having passed in and out of consciousness too many times to count. I have to give the Carrows credit for their dedication in my torturing, for it seemed that whenever I did finally drag my eyes open it took only a moment or two for one them to arrive and start the process all over again. The worst moment for me so far was when I woke thinking I was still at the Malfoy's house and it was Bellatrix that was torturing me. The only reason that I didn't crack right then and there was the fact that Sir Nicholas came and spoke to me right after.

Minnie was getting more and more creative on ways to get word to me or from what it seemed, because Nick was the one that playing delivery owl that night. She had asked what they were doing to me, and when Nick asked me that I laughed as the tears fell down my face, burning the cuts as the salt water hit them. I don't know why my feelings came out as a laugh but they did and he only stared at me with worry as I did. When I finally got the words to come out of my mouth what they were doing when I was awake he looked as angry as a ghost could ever be.

That was a while ago that he visited, and I realized shortly after he left I should have asked how long I'd been down here. I've been given water and I think a house elf is sneaking me food under Minnie's order when it's safe, because I have woken to find a full tray every once and a while. Otherwise they simply come, torture, laugh, and leave. Consistent routine if nothing else I suppose.

I heard the sound of whispers drawing closer to me and I forced my eyes open with a hiss on my lips, but a moment later and I know full well it isn't the Carrows coming towards me. I glanced at the stairs but then saw the white figures floating towards me from across the room. I let out a soft breath I didn't even realize I was holding as I saw it was Peeves and the Bloody Baron. I tilted my head a bit in confusion wondering why Nick didn't come this time, but figured Minnie didn't want the Carrows to figure out she was talking to me through him. They floated up until they were both a few feet away from me before Peeves looked at me.

"Hmmm awfully battered, aren't you? You've seen better days haven't you Miss Vamp." (Peev)

"Peeves." (Baron)

"Meant no disrespect your Bloodiness, and your vampness. I'll get the chains off shall I?" (Peev)

I was somewhat lost for words as the Poltergeist known for mischief and mayhem began to pick the locks on the chains on my wrists. I looked back to the Bloody Baron to see him watching Peeves closely, as well as glancing towards the stair well occasionally. He finally looks to me and gives me a similar bow to the one he gave me the first time I ever met him, and he made Peeves leave me alone.

"What are you doing here?" (K)

I saw both ghosts flinch slightly at how harsh and dry my voice sounded, and even I knew I sounded bad. Though the hours of constant screaming have not been helping any I know. I see a look of pity cross the Baron's face before he looks back up at me with a neutral look.

"I heard Sir Nicholas discussing your situation with Professor McGonagall. I told Peeves to help undo your shackles for a few hours while the Carrows slept. It cannot be comfortable for you to be in this position all the time can it Mrs. Weasley." (Baron)

"No, but......why did you help me that first night Baron?" (K)

"I had a vampire nurse as child. I grew up in a time where vampires and wizards coexisted with other, before the vampires and witches and wizards grew to hate and fear one another. Your kindness and fire in your heart reminded me of her, and I felt it would be an honor to her memory to help you in whatever way I could." (Baron)

His deep and hallow sounding voice that echoed full of pain even centuries after he had died makes my own heart hurt for him. I nod though as I understand now why he stopped Peeves from harassing me that first year I was here. It also explains why he now has Peeves undoing the shackles on my wrists. I hear the metallic click and Peeves let out a merry cackle before he moves to the other shackle. I let out a slight hiss as my muscles ache in protest at the change in position after so long in chains.

"How long have I been down here?" (K)

"Ohhh the ickle fickle Carrows have had your vampness down here for a looooonnnnggg eight days." (Pev)

"Peeves-" (Baron)

"It's quiet alright Baron, I prefer 'your vampness' to a few of the other names I've grown accustomed to over the last few days. I must say that I always admired your work on the Toad a few years ago. Chasing her out of the castle with Minnie's cane was a very nice touch." (K)

I heard the metallic click of the second shackle just in time for him to let out a cackle and bow to me before blowing a raspberry at me and disappearing into the ceiling. I let out a smile, the first in eight days as I rub my sore arms. Baron bows to me and disappears into the wall next to me, leaving me to my own thoughts for a moment.

Eight days....that would mean that today is technically Friday and I will be let out to go back to the common room tonight. I'm sure that will go well. I pace in the cell stretching my sore muscles, ignoring the lingering pain of the cuts and bruises littered on my body as I do. Just a few more hours and I'll be in the common room, reading one of his letters.

George's POV:

61 days left until I can hold her in my arms.......I think I'm going to go mad before then. It wouldn't be so bad if I thought that sending her a letter would be safe, but we all know that the owl post is being watched closer than ever right now. Fred was doing the Potterwatch broadcast next week, we couldn't do it this week because the lovely Death Eaters or ministry workers as they are now made a few surprise visits to a lot of the Order's houses. Including our own. Seems they're becoming a bit more determined to find undesirables by the day.

I had to taken to pacing when I found myself thinking of Kitty and what she might be enduring at Hogwarts. A habit that Fred and dad let me do without question, it was only mum that tried to get me to sit still or work on something with Fred. I couldn't though whenever I found myself thinking that she could be in pain or in danger and I wouldn't even know about it until it was too late. I paced in the living room as dad and Fred watched on the couch, their heads following me as if I was a Quaffle at a Quidditch match. I hear Fred snap his fingers and laugh once before I realize that means he has an idea.

"George, send a patronus message to her and tell her to send one back if she can. Just make it where she's the only one that will be able to hear it in case it's intercepted." (F)

"That's a very good idea Fred." (dad)

"Freddie sometimes I bloody love you mate." (G)

"Well I am the smarter twin after all your holiness." (F)

"Yeah yeah sure." (G)

I felt my feet rush upstairs to my room before I cast my patronus charm and sent my message to Kitty. I watch as my coyote rushes out the window in a blur of white light and towards Hogwarts. I smile as I watch it go, hoping that Kitty can respond to me as soon as she's able. I just need to hear her voice and hear that she's alright. Then, then I can make it another 61 days without her.
