Kat's POV:

My assumptions about the options given to the Slytherins and Hufflepuff seventh years the other afternoon were correct, and I soon found out that what many of the Slytheryns lack in humanity they make up in malice. My entire body felt as if I had been pricked by a thousand needles over a hundred times. I had honestly expected Amycus to keep me chained to the wall for the entire two weeks if I was being completely honest, so when he let me go for the evening I was surprised, until he told me he was planning on opening some old wounds on Thursday.

I felt myself pale a bit at that but hid it well when he turned back to face me laughing. I can only think he meant the lovely word carved into my back courtesy of Bellatrix or the werewolf wounds that Bellatrix only made deeper during my time with her. Though my mind was wandering, my feet knew the way and soon I was stepping across the portrait frame into the common room. I heard the hush come over the students and then I felt the gentle hands on both sides of me helping me to the couch in front of the fire.

I looked up at the two students and saw Neville and Seamus with Ginny close behind them with the medical kit we kept in the common room. The younger students years one to four were gently rushed up to bed by the older ones, while the older ones soon came closer to find out what happened to me earlier.

"They can't make everyone do that! It's horrible!" (Tim)

"They can Tim, in fact it's what they do best. When it is your turn in class I need you all to do whatever it is they tell you to, even if it is something horrible to me. I will not blame you, nor will I be mad at you, unless you refuse. Seeign any one of you get hurt, hurts me worse than anything physical they can do to me I promise." (K)

I felt a hiss escape my lips as Ginny dabbed dittany on one of the burns on my arms, wincing as she did. I felt burn begin to heal, taking away a bit of the pain as it did. As she moved on to the other burns that were visible on my right arm I clenched my teeth together, letting out my held breath as she finished it before moving to my left. I know she'll want to doctor the ones on my side and back so with the help of Neville and Seamus we make it to my room and shut the door.

"Are yeh sure you don mind us bein in here Kat?" (Seamus)

"I don't mind, besides I know what he has planned for me on Thursday and I need you three to be prepared to help heal it as best you can when I get back up here that night." (K)

I see all three of them offer me a hesitant nod before I slide off the robes, standing in front of them in a pair of black jeans and a sports bra. I see Ginny gasp while Neville gets a furious look on his face as they see the bruises and burns on my stomach and side. Ginny starts to dab dittany on them and use episkey on the smaller cuts, before turning me around and doing the same. I know that they can all see the word that Bellatrix left me, as well as the other scars. It isn't until Ginny tells me she's down that I slide on a t-shirt and turn to face them again.

"Kat, that word...is that what Bellatrix did to you?" (Gin)

"Partly yes. She also made the scratch scars from the werewolf deeper on my side." (K)

"George never said.....neither did you." (Gin)

"I was still healing from it mentally Ginny, it wasn't anything personal to anyone in the family. I don't even know if Fred knows." (K)

"What is Carrow planning on doing to you that's worse than that Kat?" (Nev)

"Amycus has plans to reopen old wounds, his words not mine. If he means what he says then I will need all the help we can get. So, if Madam Pomfrey approaches one of you and offers you a stress potion, take it and save it. It's not really a stress potion, it'll be for me." (K)

"We can't just sit by and watch him do that you Kat!" (Nev)

"You can and you will Neville Longbottom! And do you want to know why? Because the students need you and George and Fred need you as their eyes and ears in Hogwarts. I can handle it Neville, this will not be the first time I'll be tortured and I doubt it will be the worse. Bellatrix is much worse and we both know it." (K)

I see anger flare in his eyes before he turns towards the wall and nods in agreement with me. I tell them all to go to bed for the night, and prepare for a hellish week. I lay down after drinking the blood vial that Madam Pomfrey had slipped me yesterday for today, and think of the letters that George wrote to me. I have a feeling that I'll be opening one of them before the end of the week.

Ginny's POV:

Kat refused to tell us what happened in the classes that Neville, Seamus, or I weren't in, but that didn't prevent us from finding out what happened to her. The other Gryffindors would report to us each evening before Kat came back to tell us what happened to her. The younger students only had to watch Carrow torture her with the curse, while it seemed that everyone in fourth year and above had to curse or hex her in some way. Madam Pomfrey had slipped a few potions yesterday and today to help with whatever will happen tomorrow. We just hope that it'll be enough.

She came back tonight with the same number of bruises and cuts she's had the last two nights. I had doctored them all before I watched her collapse onto her bed, still vamped out as she went straight to sleep. I sighed some before leaving her room, shutting the door quietly behind me.

"How is she then?" (Seamus)

"I'm more worried about how she'll be tomorrow. I doubt they're going to let her go hunting and all this torture is weakening her even more than when the Toad didn't let her hunt for months." (Gin)

"It's time to start up Dumbledore's Army again. We'll keep it as secret as we can, but we can't keep doing nothing. We could use the Room of Requirement if things get too bad, I won't just sit by anymore and do nothing to help the Resistance." (Nev)

I look to Neville and see a fire in his eyes that reminds me of Harry and it brings a light smile to my face. I find myself nodding slowly in agreement with him, Seamus soon joining in. We sat down in front of the fire and started planning everything. We'll still use the coins from last time, making sure the old members know to check them. We'll also start recruiting the older students from different houses that we know we can trust.

By the time everything is said and done, I go up to bed with a lightness in my heart that I know as hope. I feel hopeful that Harry will complete his mission, and while he does,  we will prove to you-know-who that just because Dumbledore is gone doesn't mean that he's been forgotten.
