At this moment I felt so peaceful and as I drifted off into an even deeper slumber. Sometimes I wish that I could just drift off into a deep slumber to avoid my problems and responsibilities but you know people would probably think I'm in a coma or something like that.

Out of no where the phone that sat on my bedside table started vibrating and I immediately rose up from my bed reluctantly. Who the hell could be calling or texting me at and (I checked the time) 2:43 in the morning I asked myself.

Then again what if I woke up for no reason at all just for a wrong phone call. It better not be I muttered out a loud before using the back of my hand to rub my eyes. My eyes felt extremely dry and they lacked moisture but here I was about to answer a text or phone call at 2:44 in the morning.

I blinked for one minute straight and during that one minute my phone still vibrated meaning that who ever was on the other line was more than persistent in reaching me at a time like this.

I hissed my teeth in annoyance before grabbing the phone in my hand and placing it on my ear without looking at it and sliding what I thought was the answer option. What I answered groggily still not fully awake or in the mood to speak to anyone.

I don't know why but who ever was on the other end of the line didn't answer and so I slowly removed the phone from my eyes. Because all lights were off in my room my eyes weren't accustomed to the bright light on my phone and so I had to squint my eyes for a while before I could look at it properly.

I turned the brightness down to the lowest that it could go before sighing and checking my notifications. At the top of screen were 5 messages from a contact that I couldn't make out properly. I closed my eyes again and looked at the name at the top of the screen Miles. That little disgusting piece of nothing I muttered out what the hell could he want from me at 3:00 in the morning.

A/N (They're texting right here)

"Are you aware of the time you idiot,I was having such a good time and you had to come ruin it by waking me up"

"I'm aware of the time, Shay I just needed to ask you something"

"Might as well since you already woke me up :("

"Could you follow me somewhere tomorrow?"
....

"Wow and this was so important that you couldn't ask me another time" when I typed that text I just had to roll my eyes.

"It's very important and I need my best friend just promise you'll be there okay?"

"Yeah, whatever, where are we going though?"

"You'll see" he replied

"Okay I'm going back to the sleep that YOU disturbed now"

" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I'm sorry it couldn't wait sweet dreams"

The school day was particularly very boring but even so much more boring because Miles and I had no classes together on Thursdays and he's like the highlight of my days so I was just bored through most of my classes and couldn't wait for them to finish.

I didn't have my phone with me to check the time so I had to lean over to ask the person that was sitting in front of me. She seemed like she was a nice person so I didn't hesitate to ask her because more than likely I would have never asked any one of the other kids around here.

"Um, hey sorry to bother you but what time is it" I whispered to her. "It's time for you to get a watch" she whispered back at me smirking her extremely small lips. Don't have to be a bitch about it I thought. I wasn't gonna ask her again but  before I could sit properly I heard Mr.Fagan clear his throat from the front of the classroom looking at me with his extremely small and beady eyes.

"Ms.Perkins and what's your face would you like to let the class in on the conversation your having in my class because I sure as hell know you guys aren't discussing the Pythagorean theorem" he spat at us. I was surprised for the first time in a long time not because he didn't know my name but because I always thought he was one of those calm teachers that you could never cross no what how difficult you were. Guess I was wrong to think that.

"No sir we weren't discussing the theorem I was just asking for the time but before I could sit properly you saw us" I answered back with a challenging voice. "Ah, and do you think checking the time will make it go easier because it won't" he replied .

"Not at all sir but I do believe if I at least check then I'll be able to have a sense of how long I'll be or won't be at a place for" I answered back at him. "Oh I see" he remarked "I want an essay no more than 700 words long on why checking the time is so important and give me evidence from your statements, points and an overall explanation, you may have a seat."

I can't believe that just happened because I simply asked the time I got an extra assignment to do from that turd Mr.Fagan, and I didn't even get to know the time. You just took an L a voice inside my head whispered. For the rest of Mr.Fagan's class I sat slouched down in my seat while obtaining various glances from my classmates. I wanted to disappear and disappear fast at that.

As the school bell rung over the intercom signalling that another period had ended I along with the rest of my class mates got up from our seats to go to our next class. However, I didn't leave as soon as I wanted to because there was a big crowd at the door and during their pushing and shoving one of my books fell.

As I bent down to receive it I could feel eyes that felt like they were piercing the back of my neck. By now most of the the students were gone and I turned around to come face to face with an amused Mr.Fagan. I didn't say anything to him and fixed my bag before leaving. However, that also didn't happen I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder and so I plastered on a smile before turning around.

"Yes sir" I spoke lowly. " don't worry I won't keep you long" he spoke back. "I'd like to inform you so that you take me serious when I say that the essay I gave to you was actually your end of year essay that you'd get on the exam " he informed me. "I'm confused could you please elaborate on what you mean, sir?"

He sighed out in annoyance at me I guess he was expecting me to understand at first. "It's June which means end of year exams are precisely in two weeks, for this class part of the exam is essay writing, I'm giving you the opportunity to have your essay topic from now but you'll still hand it in to me on exam day, understood?" "Understood" I repeated.

"You'll think that I'm being unfair and you'd think the topic is probably not that easy to write about but trust me I wouldn't have given it to you if I didn't think you could handle it, I'm practically doing you a favor" he spoke slowly at me. "Actually I don't think it's hard to write about at all" I answered back with absolute power.

"Is that so" "yes sir" "I expect a good essay and for you to not pass the word limit, you are dismissed." I was more than happy to leave his class but then I sighed out in frustration when I realized I still had one more class left before school was over.  Luckily my teacher was absent today and so I had a free period with which I used to draft ideas for my essay.

I stood at my locker patiently waiting for Miles to show up and just like magic he appeared right before my eyes with a happy expression. "Darling" "stop calling me that" I whined. "Are you gonna tell me where we're going now " I asked Miles as we exited our learning facility and out to his car. "Not yet,but I can tell you were going to meet someone" he spoke  smug expression on his face. With that we both entered the car  and drove off.

A/N 1483 words for this chapter. I wonder where Miles and Shay are off to and who they're meeting *laughs evilly* 😏 next chapter will be an awesome chapter that I can assure. Don't forget to vote if you like the chapter. (Picture of Miles above)
