Today was the last day of summer and today I planned to have a simple hangout out day with the guys and that's exactly how today went.  Jonah and I left the foster home around ten thirty to go to Carson's house. 

When we arrived Aimee opened the door for us .Since the last time I had met her she had completely changed.  For one she told Jonah and I good morning which was a huge shocker and then she even went as far as to compliment me on how I'd done my hair today.

Something was definitely up.  When we got inside the house completely I could already hear loud chatter and  yelling from across the room.  The living room was full of the whole gang - Carson, Miles, Pierce, Chevon and then there was Jonah and I.

"Shay Shay!! Glad you could make it haven't seen you in forever. " Carson shouted from the couch he was sprawled out in. As I sat on a Beanbag chair beside Pierce a small chuckle escaped my mouth before I replied "it has been a while.  What have you all been up to?" I questioned.

Pierce was the first to respond
"I got laid last night over and over and over again" He said cockily beside me a small smirk uplifting the corner of his mouth.  "By who?" I questioned. He laughed at me sudden curiosity and replied "Reginae from science" Pierce replied coyly.

A loud  gasp escaped everyone's mouth.  Out of all the girls he had to choose from he chose Reginae from Science.  Reginae was our school's very own innocent nerd and although she was very attractive she kept her distance with anyone of the opposite gender at school.  She was a nerd.

"Why poor innocent little Reginae? " I asked.  Pierce shook his head at me then opened his mouth to speak "oh come on guys she was a lot of things but let's not use the word innocent to describe her-" My mouth fell open. "After all she gave it to me and it was her birthday. "

"Birthday sex huh?" I grinned at him and turned to the other guys.  "For me I spent the time  trying to piece the pieces of my life back together" Miles breathed out a few seats over.  I reached my hand out and he grabbed it and gave it a tight squeeze.  "As you should" I explained to him.

"I stayed home and bonded with Aimee and believe it or not she's not a bad kid once you get to know her." Carson stated about his own sister.  "You say it as if she's a stranger that you've known all your life and not like she's your sister" Jonah stated beside him.  "In a way she kind of was and her whole medical history prevented her from being sociable" Carson breathed out.

The others nodded their heads with familiarity. My mind clouded with curiosity but this wasn't something I wanted to dwell on with Carson so I let it go.  I glanced over in Jonah's direction and he was staring at me and not in a I'll kill you if you stare too long way but in a way that said I could look at you forever.

Jonah mouthed that he would tell me later and in return I gave him a cheeky smile.  "Anyways - Chevon said rolling his eyes after he saw our little exchange " I started making music again and I'm playing a show later in a bar called the leaf. " I never even knew he was interested in music like that.

"What type of music do you do?" I inquired.  "Manly stuff" Chevon replied.  I had to laugh when he said manly.  "Manly? " And I broke out into fits of laughter again.  "Oh Chevon you crack me up!" I yelled though watery eyes.  Then me sombre expression came back.

"No but seriously you say that as if you're any older than any of us in here man.  We're all 16 here. " The others nodded.  "Wait Shay,  when I met you you told us you were 15 and that was only a couple months ago. So when did you turn 16?" Jonah questioned.

Before I answered Miles came in to rescue me.  Bless his soul.  I never liked talking about my birthday.  "Her birthday's on September 2" They had all gaped their mouths open. "Shay today's your birthday!?" Everyone except for Miles gasped with surprise.  "Maybe" I replied amusement creeping unto my face.
