Dinah
"Shit. I'm so sorry Mila. I completely forgot about what happened that night. Just forget I mentioned even going to the club."
I couldn't believe I was this dense. How could I forget the way Mila had cried in my arms once I had pried her away from the spectacle? I stayed with her and never went back to the club. I couldn't just leave her broken at the hotel by herself, no matter how drunk she was.
"Did someone mention something about going out to a club?! We haven't gone out together in ages!" Ally squealed from the door. I didn't notice the smallest one there when I had spoken, let alone had Camila. "We should definitely go out and have some fun; just like we used to."
None of the girls knew of what Camila and I had seen that night. They were clueless and we meant to keep it that way.
"Uh, well. I don't think Mila is up for it--"
Camila cut me off, startling me with the words that came out of her mouth. "We should go. I think it'll be fun."
I looked at my best friend, waiting for her to look me in the eye. I knew she wouldn't want to go, so why was she agreeing to it?
She gave me a slight nod. It was what she did whenever she needed to let me know it was okay.
I sighed. "Alright. I guess we'll go out to a club."
"Well don't sound too excited Dinah Jane," Ally laughed.
"Yeah DJ. Don't over exert yourself there." Mila laughed with Ally, bumping into my shoulder. I took it as extra assurance that she would be fine through this. Well I hoped she would. "Why don't you tell Lauren that we're going out and Ally and I will tell Normani?"
She didn't give much of a choice in the matter as she and Ally left right after saying those words. I guess I would tell Lauren of the plans for tonight.
I took my time going to Lauren's room. She was the only one not sharing a room with someone for the trip. Sometimes it was a blessing and sometimes it was just lonely being by yourself.
After a few steps down the hall, I was at her door. I could hear two distinct voices through the door. I recognized Lauren's voice, but I couldn't place the other voice.
I hesitated before knocking on the door. Who was this mystery voice on the other side? Who was in there with Lauren?
Finally thinking enough time had gone by, I knocked on the door. A few seconds later, the door burst open and I was looking at Lucy, not Lauren.
What the fuck was Lucy doing here?
"Hey Dinah. Lauren told me to open the door because she's in the shower."
"Hey Lucy. Um I came by because the girls and I thought it would be cool to go out to a club tonight before we left."
"That's funny. I was just trying to convince Lauren to go to a club with me. That's why she's in the shower." Lucy had a genuine smile on her face as far as I could tell. I didn't know what her agenda was, but I hoped she wasn't going to interfere with Camren. As the captain of the ship, I wasn't going to let anyone ruin Camila's second chance.
"Oh so I guess then do you mind if we join?" It was stupid to ask that way, but I didn't want this girl alone with Lauren all night and none of us around to keep an eye on them.
"Sure. I know Lauren would love it if we all went. What time should we meet up in the lobby?"
"10 should be a good time. Give everyone plenty of time to get dressed up."
