Soon after returning from dealing with Hans, things in Arendelle came back to normal.  The citizens were happy to have Anna and Elsa back, knowing they were here to stay.  July came and went, and soon it was August.  It was nearing the end of my stay here in Arendelle, as it had been agreed that I would return to the United States during the school year.  It was also nearing the big event of the summer that had been looming down on me since the beginning of the summer: my Crowning Ceremony.  The Crowning Ceremony was the official ceremony where I would be crowned Princess of Arendelle.  Most people, like Anna and Elsa, had it when they were babies.  Others have it as part of the royal wedding.  Since I had never had one, it would be administered now.

I was stressing out about it.  The whole Kingdom and some dignitaries from other kingdoms would be there.  I would have to impress them, and hopefully not make a fool of myself.  But that was easier said than done.  I knew I would make some mistake and embarrass myself in front of everyone.

To start, the day was already not going as planned.  As usual, the tailor was fashionably late, and I was left without a dress.  Elsa had thought of firing him once, but kept him around because he was a close family friend.

I was sitting around in my room, waiting for the tailor to arrive when I heard a knock on my door.

“That must be the tailor!” I thought.  “It’s about time!”

I opened up the door, but to my dismay it was not the tailor.  Anna and Elsa stood in the doorway.

“Hi Lisa, we were just checking in,” Anna said.

She was wearing a long navy dress with laced pink and orange flowers.  It was full length and fit her nicely.  Next to her, Elsa was wearing a sleeveless light blue dress with a satin sash that tied into a bow behind her.

“You look beautiful,” I said.

“Thank you Lisa,” Elsa responded, “but where is your dress?  You should have it on already!”

“The tailor still hasn’t arrived.”

“Ugh, why can’t Tome ever be punctual!”

“Excuse me, your majesty, I must deliver Princess Lisa her dress,” said a man.

The man was Tome, the tailor.  Elsa moved out of the way so that Tome could get through.  He handed me my dress, I thanked him, and he walked away.  My dress looked very beautiful, it was coral in color and had lace sleeves.

“Put it on now Lisa,” Elsa said.

“We’ll give you some privacy,” Anna added, closing the door.

I quickly changed and then met Anna and Elsa in the front of the castle.  We walked over to the chapel, which wasn’t far from the castle.  I needed to get there early, so the we could avoid the crowds.  We were pulled into a back room and told to wait there until the ceremony started.

“I’m scared!” I said, panicking to Anna and Elsa.  “What if I mess up?”

“Lisa, you’ll be fine,” Elsa said.

“You can never mess up more than me,” Anna added.  “I cried for the whole ceremony.  Then I kicked Mom in the face.”

I held back a laugh, imagining baby Anna throwing a tantrum.

“I was much better than you, Anna,” Elsa started.  “I kept my pacifier in the whole time.”

“Yeah, because you froze it to your mouth,” Anna snapped.

I took a shaky breath and sat down.

“You’ll be fine Lisa, we know you will,” Elsa comforted me.

“Go get ‘em girl!” cheered Anna.

The door opened and a guard peered in.  “Your highnesses,” he began, “you are needed outside.”

I took a deep breath as I walked over to the door.  Inside, the chapel was quiet and and the last of the guests were sitting down.  Anna and Elsa walked up to the front, then parted, Anna standing to the right and Elsa on the left.  I followed close behind and stood in front of the minister.

“Your highness,” he said, leaning into a bow.

The murmur of voices stopped and the chapel grew silent.

“Do you promise to protect the people and kingdom of Arendelle as long as you shall reign?” he continued.

“I do,” I replied.

The minister said something in Norwegian then placed a small golden tiara on my head.

“Princess Lisa of Arendelle!” he chanted.

“Princess Lisa of Arendelle!” the crowd repeated.

After the ceremony we gathered in the castle for the reception.  Elsa had gotten a band to come play and of course there was chocolate cake.

“You did amazing, Lisa!” Anna said, running up to me.

“See you had nothing to worry about,” Elsa added.

“Thank you,” I responded, “I never could have done it without you two.”

“Aw, thanks,” Anna said, reaching in for a hug.

“Your time in Arendelle is almost up,” Elsa began.  “Did you enjoy yourself?”

“Of course,” I replied, “this made the best summer ever!”

“Oh really,” Anna challenged, “then I’ll have to be sure that next year is even better.”

The rest of the night continued on, eventually the party ended.  I laid down in my bed, exhausted, ready to catch a well earned sleep.
