“What time is it?” Finn paced the room for the tenth time.“Chill! Seriously, the rug is getting worn out.” Michael tried to calm his friend down, but nothing was working.
“You think she bailed?” Finn asked seriously.
“NO!” Drew, Alex and Michael all yelled simultaneously.
“Did you see her?” Finn began to pace again. He’d never been this nervous in his entire life.
“Finn, have a seat my friend.” Michael coaxed him with a pat on the back. He waited until Finn was seated.
“You need to get a grip. Rachel wants to marry you,”
“How…”
“Ah! Don’t speak. Let me finish.” Finn just nodded.
“I know because there is no way she would go through all the trouble to leave you at the alter, find another guy who dumps her right in the middle of their romance, then begs for her to take him back. No chic has that much patience to do that twice in one lifetime.” Michael shrugged.
“Wow! You know that really didn’t help me out,” Finn stood and resisted the urge to run down the hall to her room.
“Finn! He’s kidding, sort of.” Drew grabbed Finn by the shoulders to calm him down.
“Just listen for a minute,” Drew tried to reason with him. It was the only thing he knew would work at this point.
“What?”
“Rachel is a strong girl who speaks her mind. If she didn’t want to marry you, you’d be the first to know it. So, stop the pansy ass bullshit and get ready to marry the girl of your dreams.” Drew punched him in the arm as payback for last night.
Realization dawned on Finn. In a way, both Michael and Drew were right; more so Drew than Michael, of course.
“You’re right! Let’s get me married,” Finn clapped his hands together and made his way out the door.
The other three guys looked at each other and shook their heads, “He’s totally whipped!”
