EPILOGUE THEN AND NOW TWO YEARS LATER
AURORA HAD GIVEN birth — unexpectedly to two twin girls. They were born on a cold night, just weeks before Christmas.
Lily and James had gotten married, along with Aurora and Remus after getting home with their daughters — who they hadn't named yet.
Sirius was in-and-out of James and Lily's and Remus's and Aurora's, homeless as he searched for a life to live. He lived with them and helped out with the children — and after a while; James and Lily's new-born; Harry James Potter.
Peter however, was MIA since they graduated. They'd receive letters from his owl once every few months, explaining that he wasn't coming back anytime soon.
And regardless of that, their lives seemed to be perfect.

OCTOBER 31ST, 1981.
A soft-yet-bitter wind crept through Godric's Hollow one night. It seemed foreign — unwelcome.
Aurora sat inside of her daughters nursery, cradling one of them to her chest.
"Fighting sleep won't get you anywhere, Ivory Jane." Aurora whispered, rocking back-and-forth within her rocking chair.
As the door opened slowly, Remus walked in, cradling the youngest twin — Deva Renee.
"She's out," Remus whispered, placing the toddler in her crib.
"Wish I could say the same for this one," Aurora said quietly, handing her to her father.
Aurora glanced out the window, noticing an off, flickering light piercing through the window of Lily and James's home.
"Blimey," she muttered. "What are they doing over there?"
Remus glanced out the window, and the two watched as a sudden burst of light ran throughout the second floor of the Potter's home.
As she opened the window, she listened for any sound, the quiet air of Godric's Hollow sending a chill down her spine for the first time.
A short scream occurred, and Aurora began running out of the nursery. She had her wand in her hand, running across the street as Remus caught up.
"Alohamora!"
The door swung open, and Aurora stepped into the dark room. Unable to see anything, she lifted her wand, swallowing.
