-Shane's POV-
"Where are they?" I ask Shayna while I look around. "How am I supposed to know? I was busy fighting you." She answers which makes me look at her. "You deserved it." "No I didn't." "Yes, you did. You shouldn't have taken it from me." "And you shouldn't have tickled me! That was so low." "Like I said, you deserved it. You should have given it back to me."
"Why do you still have it anyway?" She asks sounding concerned. "I just-" I start, but stop. "You just can't throw it away?" She asks me. "Yes. I know I should just do it, but I can't. Even after what he did to us, I still can't throw it away." "You loved him, I did too, we all did. He just never loved any of us. He just used us, he isn't worth it." She says as she holds my hands. "In this messed up life that we have, we can only trust each other." She says, looking into my eyes. "And Kiana, Lyla and mom." I say to her. "Okay, maybe Kiana." "Why don't you trust Lyla and mom?" "It's not that I don't trust them, it's just that... they changed." "Yeah, they did, but that doesn't mean that they're not trustworthy."
"I rather just trust you. Like we've been doing since what happened." She says to me. "You're never going to abandon me." I smile at her and hug her. She immediately hugs me back. "Never. You mean too much to me for that." "I love you, Shane." "I love you too, Shayna."
After a few minutes, I let go of her. She looks at me worried. "What's wrong?" "Do you see that?" I ask her to which she response by looking at what I'm looking. "What?" "A person." "A person?" She asks confused. "I don't see a person." "There! On the roof!" I say to her. "Which roof?" She asks while she looks around. I grab her arm and drag her closer to the person. "There! Right in front of us!" I say to her. "In front of us?" She asks even more confused. I stop walking and look at the person. A woman. "Shane..." Shayna says as she looks at me. "Don't look at me, look at her." "Her?" "The woman on the roof." "Shane, there's no one on that roof." "Yes, she is!" I say as I look at her and look back at the roof afterwards. "S-She's looking at us." "Shane." Shayna says to me and walks in front of me. "There's no one on that roof." "Shayna." I say to her as I look at her. "She's on that roof." I look back at the roof. "Where is she?" "Who?" Shayna asks me annoyed. "The woman, she isn't on the roof anymore." "She wasn't on the roof to start with!" "Shayna-" I start, but she interrupts me. "I'm going to look for Kiana, are you coming?" I sigh deeply and nod afterwards. She smiles and starts walking. I look one more time at the roof before following her.

-Kiana's POV-
I was drinking a cocktail and smiling evilly at my latest victim when suddenly Shane pushes me away. "Hey! Why did you do that!?" I yell at him while I look at my now dirty clothes. "You're welcome." He says to me which makes me look at him. He's looking at me with a man -a friend of the woman I just killed- behind him. The man is panicking and looks around him panicking even more. "You made him blind, why?" I ask him while I walk to him. "Look at his right hand." He answers. "A knife." I say to him. "Yes, to attack you. So, you're welcome." "Thanks." I say to him to which he smiles in response.
"Look out!" Shayna yells while she runs to us. Before we could react, Shane suddenly groans in pain. "What happened?" I ask him, but before he can answer Shayna comes to us. She takes a piece of glass from my broken cocktail glass and stabs the man in the neck with it. He immediately falls on the ground. We all look at him for a moment and see him stop breathing.
"Y-You killed him!" Shane says surprised. I must say, I'm surprised too. I didn't know that Shayna was capable of doing that, by the look on her face, she didn't know either. "H-He was going to hurt you." She says to Shane. "And he succeeded!" I say as I see Shane bleed. "What?" Shane asks me and looks at his bleeding hip. "It's nothing, don't worry." He says while he puts his hand on it. "Nothing!? You need a healer!" Shayna says to him. "I'll just ask our heir." "I said a healer, not our little sister."
"What about me?" We hear Lyla ask. "It's our brother, he needs a healer." Shayna answers her. "A healer? What happened?" She asks as she walks towards us. She stops when she sees him. "Can you help me?" Shane asks her. "I can try, but I'm no healer." She says as she walks closer to us. "No, he needs a healer. We need to go back to Solniana." Shayna says to her. "We're not going back!" Lyla yells to her.
"What happened here?" We hear someone ask us and look. It's Jack with a woman that I haven't seen before. "Did you kill them!?" He asks as he looks at the two dead people. "Doesn't matter! Leave us alone!" I yell to him. He looks confused at us, he probably heard the fear in my voice. He walks closer slowly, but walks faster when he sees Shane's wounded hip. "Are you alright?" He asks, walking closer. "Stay back!" Shayna yells to him, the fear in her voice very clear. He keeps walking closer to us. "Just go!" I yell and create a shield around us. "Let me help!" He says, sounding worried.
"I-I don't feel so good." Shane says to us which makes us look at him. "You don't look good, you're very pale." I say to him. "We need to go to Solniana! He needs a healer!" Shayna yells to Lyla. "We're staying." Lyla answers calmly. "He's going to die!" Shayna yells panicking. "We can heal him!" Jack says to us. "No! I'd rather die!" Shane says to him. "Lie down." Lyla says to him. "On the ground?" He asks her. "No, in the air." She answers annoyed. He doesn't answer and lies down.
"You two." Lyla says to me and Shayna. "Stay away, guard me." I nod and drag Shayna away from them, not too far, so we can still hear them. "Stay still, it's going to hurt." Lyla says to Shane as she kneels down next to him. "Great, just what I need, more pain." Lyla puts her hands on his hip and closes her eyes. A light appears under her hands and Shane groans in pain. Shayna walks towards them, but I stop her. "Don't. Just trust her." I whisper. She looks afraid at me and then back at them.
After a few minutes, the light disappears. "Did it work?" Shayna asks. Lyla opens her eyes and looks at Shane. He looks down at his hip and smiles. "I don't feel it anymore!" He sits up and hugs Lyla. "You're amazing!" "Let me go." She answers annoyed. He stops hugging her immediately. "Thank you." She says as she stands up. Once she's standing, she offers him her hand which he gladly takes. "Thanks." He says to her as he's standing up. "You're all right!" Shayna yells as she runs towards him and hugs him. "Yes, I am." He says as he hugs her back.
"Good work." I say as I walk to Lyla. "Thank you." She answers looking at me. "I didn't know that you were able to heal such a wound." I say to her which makes Shane and Shayna look at us. "There are a lot of things that you don't know." She answers, looking down. "Like what?" Shane asks her, worried. "It doesn't matter, you're healed, that matters." She answers. "But-" Shane starts but Lyla puts her hand up. "I'm going to take a walk, don't do something stupid when I'm gone." She says as she walks through the shield.
When I don't see her anymore, I look at Shane and Shayna. "Why can't she just talk?" Shane asks sad. "We don't know what she knows. She probably wants to spare us." I answer him. "She should just tell us, we old enough to know. We're even older!" Shayna says to me. "She knows what mom knows." I say to them which makes them look down. "She knows what happened to mom." I continue. "You think she does?" Shayna asks me. "Yes of course, she's always with mom." Shane answers.
"What happened to Ella?" Jack asks us. "Oh right, we're not alone." Shayna says to us. "Let's go." I say to them. "Wait! Please tell me! Ella was a close friend of me." Jack says to us. "We don't care about that." Shayna says to him. "When will you learn that we just don't care. We don't care that you knew our mom, we don't care that you knew our uncles and aunts, we don't care." Shane says to him as he walks closer to him. "But-" Jack start but I interrupt him. "You knew them twenty-five years ago, people change, especially after such long time. You wouldn't be able to recognise them." I say to him. "Just leave us alone, you're not useful to us anyway." Shane says to him. I make the shield disappear and walk away, followed by Shane and Shayna.
