Chapter twenty-three

-Kiana's POV-

I'm walking in the city. I've looked everywhere but I can't find Lyla or him. How could he do that to me? Now Nathan thinks that I flirt with other men! "You look angry." I hear behind which makes me turn around and see Eddy. "I am, Nathan thinks that I flirt with other men." I say to him. "He does? Well that explains why he was so sad when I saw him. Why does he think that?" "Because someone told him that." "Who did?" "It doesn't matter, I'm just going to try to make it clear to Nathan that I wasn't flirting with other men." "Kiana, tell me what happened." "Eddy, please just believe me. I'm not flirt-" I start when I see him walking in the distance. "I'm sorry, I need to go." I say to Eddy as I start to walk away. "Kiana!" I hear Eddy say but I ignore him and follow the man again.

He hasn't noticed me, great. I keep following him to a quiet street. There aren't much people around, so I would easily catch up to him if starts running. "Luke!" I yell at him which makes him stop walking. I walk towards him. "I knew it was you." I say as I smile. "What do you want?" He asks me as he turns around to look at me. "I told you before, I want to talk." "And I told you that I don't want to talk with you." He says annoyed to me. "Why not?" "Just leave me alone." He says before turning around again and walking away.

"Are you serious!? I haven't seen you in years and you don't want to talk?" I say as I follow him. "Just leave me alone." He says annoyed as he keeps walking. I walk faster, past him and stop right in front of him which makes him stop. "I won't leave you alone, I want to talk." I say as I look at him, now angry. He doesn't reply, he just turns around and walks away. I run towards him and stop again in front of him. He stops walking, clearly annoyed. "Just leave!" He yells at me, which makes the few people that are walking close by stop and look at us.

"Kiana?" I hear behind me which makes me sigh. "What are you doing?" "Shayna, this is not a good moment." I answer her but keep looking at him. "Who is that man?" She asks me. "Shayna, just leave, I'm busy." I say annoyed to her. I suddenly see Luke look at something behind me. "Yes, she's busy with cheating on her boyfriend." He says to Shayna. "I'm NOT cheating! Stop saying that!" I yell at him.

"Then why are you alone with him in an empty street?" I hear Nathan ask behind me. Oh great. "Because I know him! he was my best friend when I was young." I answer Nathan, looking at him. "He was your best friend?" He asks me. "Then how come I don't know him?" Shayna asks me. "Because I wasn't really allowed to have a friend who didn't live in the castle." "Did mom and dad know?" She asks me curious. "After a while." I answer her.

"How is it possible that he was your best friend? You're from Solniana and he lives here." Shayna's boyfriend asks me. "Because he's from Solniana." I say which makes them all look confused at me. "I'm sorry, but that's not true." Luke says from behind me. "One, I don't know you. Two, I'm not from your planet and three, stop following me." He says before turning around and walking away.

"Kiana..." Shayna says to me, sounding worried. "I'll prove it." I say to them. "How?" Nathan asks me. "Just follow me." I say as I follow Luke. When there're more people around him, I change in my powerful form. I use my power to control a few people's mind so they can help me. "Luke!" I yell which makes him stop walking and look at me, clearly annoyed. Before he can say something or just walk away I use my power and let the people I control, throw knives at him.

His month opens and his eyes are wide open in shock. He surprises everyone by suddenly creating a wall out of ice. After the knifes hit the wall, he makes it disappear. "Are you insane!?" He yells at me. "No, I proved to everyone here that you're from Solniana." I answer. "You could have killed me!" He yells at me. "No, because you defended yourself." "And what if you were wrong? What if I wasn't from Solniana?" He asks me, still angry. "Then you would have killed an innocent man." He says to me as he walks towards me. "I-I..." I stutter.
