-Lyla's POV-
When I slowly open my eyes, I hear someone move on my left. "You're awake! How are you feeling?" Alex asks me. I don't look at him, I keep looking in front of me. "Where am I? What happened?" I ask him, not answering his question. "You collapsed in the woods." A man I don't know answers. "Collapsed? And who are you?" I ask the man confused. "I am your doctor, I think you collapsed due to exhaustion. The prince told me that you immediately changed back to your normal form after you fell. You were lucky he was able to catch you, if he wasn't there you could have some wounds from the fall." The doctor explains to me. "So, I'm fine." I say to him. "No, you're not." He replies sternly. "You'll have to rest for a few days, maybe a few weeks." He continues. "I don't have time to rest! I have a mission to complete!" I answer him annoyed. "Well, that has to wait, besides I'm pretty sure that you aren't able to change in your powerful form." He answers.
"What!? Then how am I supposed to defend myself!?" I ask him, still looking forward. "There are royal guards outside the room and everywhere in and around the castle." Alex answers me. "Wait... Castle? Am I in the castle?" I ask him. "Yes, I took you here after you collapsed." "Why!? Why couldn't you take me to a hospital like a normal person would do? Or to my siblings? Are you really this desperate?" I ask him. "I took you here because you'll be safe here and I'm not desperate!" "Sure you're not! I was unconscious so you took me to your home and I can't leave." I say to him annoyed. "He took you here because you'll be safer here than in a hospital." Jack suddenly says which frightens me. "I'm only safe when I'm in my powerful form!" I say to him angrily. "Lyla, you're safe here. No one will attack you here." Alex says to me. "No! I'm not safe! I'm never safe!" I practically yell at him. "He will find me! He will attack me! He will destroy me!" I yell at him. "He? Who are you talking about?" Alex asks me worried.
"Just bring me to my siblings." I answer him after a while. "Even if we wanted to take you to your siblings, we wouldn't even now where to find them." Jack's father suddenly says which frightens me again. How many people are here with me? "Take me to the city and my brother will see me." I answer him.
"Lyla?" Alex asks me. "What?" I ask him annoyed. "How many fingers am I holding up?" He asks me which makes me sigh. "Seriously? I'm in danger and you ask me that?" I answer annoyed, still looking in front of me. "Just answer me." He asks me. "Four?" I ask him. "Two." He answers me. "And I'm the one who was holding up my fingers not Alex." Jack continues. "Of course you were." I say annoyed. "Are you even able to see us?" Alex asks me, but I don't reply. I suddenly feel someone touch my face. "Hey! Stop it!" I yell but before I reach my face with my hands, someone holds them. "What are you doing? You can't touch me!" I yell at them. "I've touched you before and you showed me that you can remove the marks." Alex says to me.
"Her eyes don't react to the light, she's completely blind." The doctor suddenly says. "You're blind!?" Alex asks me, but I don't reply. "How were you able to see everything then? How were you able to kill?" Jack asks me. "I can see in my powerful form." I answer after a while. "That's why you're always in that form." Alex says to me. "How are you able to see in your powerful form but not in your normal form?" Jack asks me. "Does the person you mentioned earlier have something to do with it? Did he make you blind?" A woman asks me. "I don't want to talk about it." I answer them. "So, he did." The woman says to me.
"Can you just take me to my siblings, I still have a mission to do." I say to them annoyed. "What is your mission? Finding your father?" Jack asks me. "That's a part of it." I answer. "Then what's the rest?" Jack asks. "That is none of your business." I answer him annoyed.
"If I'm staying here, can you then at least take me to your garden?" I ask them before they can ask me further about the mission. "The garden?" Alex asks me. "Yes, don't you have that? I would love to feel the warmth of the sun." I answer. They stay quiet for a moment until the doctor breaks the silence. "You may go outside, but someone needs to accompany you." "So, I'm not going to have a nice quiet walk." I say annoyed.
