Chapter twenty-one

-Alex's POV-

I'm running as fast as I can towards the woods. If Lyla wants me to find her, then she'll be there. I just hope she won't kill me on the spot once she sees me. "Please be here." I say to myself as I finally reach the woods.

"I'm going to kill him! I'm going to destroy this whole planet!" I suddenly hear in the distance. I'm happy that she's here, but she yells that she wants to kill me, so should I be happy? I keep walking towards her voice until I see her in a clearing of the woods. She's freaking out.

She stops talking when she hears a twig break. She looks annoyed before using her power to create light around her, to teleport I guess. She teleports away but appears just next to where she was standing before. This makes me confused and by the look on her face she didn't want to do this. "Huh?" I hear her say to herself before the light appears again but this time when it disappears, she still standing on the same place. "Oh no..." She says, sounding afraid. She tries it again, but the light doesn't appear and she groans in pain. "No, no, no, no, no, this can't be happening!" She says sounding very afraid. She looks at the sky. "Mom, I need mom." She says as she closes her eyes and concentrate but soon groans in pain again. "I can't." She says suddenly sounding weak. "I need to find them." She says as she starts walking.

She stops walking after a few steps and breaths heavily. "I'm-I'm not going... to make it." She says while she still breaths heavily. I need to go to her. I start walking to her but stop when she puts her hand on her forehead. She's in pain, but why? I start walking towards her and reach her just in time to catch her when she suddenly collapses.

-Kiana's POV-

I'm looking around in the city to find Lyla. Shane and I decided to split up, so we have a bigger chance to find her. Lyla was freaking out just like I expected, but I didn't expect her to do what she did. That man must really hurt her for her to lose control.

"Can you stop starring! I'm trying to find my sister!" I yell angrily at the citizens who keep staring. They immediately look away when I say this. Good, now I can concentrate on finding Lyla. I have absolutely no idea where she would be, she's never with us, I have no idea where she slept last days. This is going to be a long day...

The citizens all move away when I get near them, and those who are close to them look at me scarred. I stop walking when I see a young man look behind him to see why everyone is so scared. The moment we look in each other's eyes, I know who he is.

He turns around and walks in the crowd. I quickly follow him in the crowd, but they all move out of my way. He walks faster when I get closer to him, so I walk faster too. He eventually starts running, which makes me run too. "Wait!" I yell at him, but he keeps running. The people around us are confused why I so desperately want to stop him, but I don't really care.

I change in my powerful form which makes the people around me take even more distance from me, making it easier to see him. I create a shield around me, him and the few citizens that separate us from each other. He keeps running, but stops when he bumps into the shield. "Ow!" I hear him say, while I stop running and now walk to him. "I got you trapped, you can't escape." I say as I stop walking. He doesn't turn around, he doesn't even response to me. "In case you're wondering, this is a special shield, those who are inside can't get out." I say to him which makes the few citizens that are in the shield panic.

"What do you want?" He asks, but still doesn't turn around. "I want to talk." "You can talk to your siblings." He answers, clearly annoyed. "I want to talk to you." "I don't want to talk to you." He says to me. "Why not?" I ask him.

"Kiana? What are you doing?" I hear behind me. "Nathan, I just-" I start. "She decided that talking to a random stranger was more important than finding her sister." I hear the man say. "What!? You're not a random stranger, you're-" I start but he interrupts me again. "Let me guess, I'm one of your victims?" He asks while turning around and walking past me towards Nathan. "For someone who has a boyfriend, she still likes to flirt with other men. Maybe you should think about that for a moment." He says looking at Nathan. "What!? I wasn't even flirting with you!" I say angrily to him. "Not yet, but everyone present here can agree with me that you wanted to capture me. And when you got close enough, you created this shield, so I can't escape." He says looking to everyone. "What? I just wanted to talk with you!" I say to him as I start walking towards him. "No! Stay away from me!" He suddenly yells which makes me stop. He then looks at Nathan. "You can enter this shield, but I can't leave. Please help me." He says to Nathan.

Nathan nods to him and walks in the shield, slowly walking towards me. "Nathan, I wasn't flirting with him." "You weren't? Then why did you capture him in this shield?" "I just wanted to talk to him, he was running away!" "Because you were going to kill him!" "I wasn't!" "Then let him go." Nathan says to me while crossing his arms. I look at the man one more time before sighing deeply and making the shield disappear. The man immediately runs away in the crowd. "Happy now?" I ask Nathan. "Yes, now you should continue looking for your sister." He answers before walking away. "Men!" I say annoyed before teleporting away.
