A Royal Love: Royal Problems

Chapter sixteen

-Lyla's POV-

It's been a couple days since we're on this planet and I still haven't find him or even some kind of trace of him. I want to find him, finish this mission and leave this stupid planet.

I've looked everywhere for him! I still haven't find him or Shane and Kiana but I don't really care about them. They can take care of themselves. I hope.

I've spend most of the day looking around in the city and walk now back to the woods. I can't wait to finally be back in the woods. Every earthling I pass, stares at me. I'm used to staring from the press on Solniana but they stare at me to find out if I'm going to be a queen like mom or a queen like grandmother. Earthlings just stare because... I don't know. Fear? Confusion? Because they're curious?

Just like Alex, he stares a lot at me too. He thinks that I don't see it but I do. I haven't seen him in a while either. He probably tries to avoid me. He should keep doing that.

I stop walking when I see a big crowd in front of a gate. What are they doing there? Do they want to go in? Does it open on a specific time? Suddenly a bell rings which startles me while the people seems to be happy to hear it. Weird. "Look it's one of the aliens!" I hear someone say behind me but I ignore it. Suddenly a lot of children run towards the other side of the gate. "Were they waiting for their children?" I ask out loud. Ignoring that more people stare at me now. When the gate opens, the children run to their parents and start to leave with them. All except one little girl. She looks very sad and turns around to walk back inside the building from where she came. Just as she does that, a woman arrives and walks towards her. The little girl must have heard her and turns around. She smiles widely and runs to the woman. "Mommy!" She yells as she hugs her mother. "Let's go home, sweetie." Her mother says to her as they start to leave. I keep looking at them until I don't see them anymore.

After that, I take a deep breath and turn around to walk away. When I turn around, I see a lot of earthlings look at me. I look at them, waiting for them to say something but they don't. I keep waiting for a moment but they just look at me. Like they are trying to solve some math problem.

"What?" I ask them after a while which makes them all look scarred. I sigh deeply and start walking, they all move out of the way to let me through. I know they are still looking at me but I ignore it and continue walking towards the woods.

-Shayna's POV-

I'm waiting next to Mike's car for him, his dad wanted to talk to him before we left. His dad is still afraid that I'll hurt Mike but I won't do that, he should start believing me. If I would want to hurt Mike, then I would have done so already and I wouldn't have kissed him but I don't think that Mike told him that.

When I see Mike and his dad walk towards me, I stop leaning against the car. I see that the, not so subtle, security relaxes. When Mike's almost with me, I smile at him but my smile soon disappears when Kiana suddenly lands between us.

"K-Kiana?" I ask her surprised. Behind her, I see that Mike's dad has stopped Mike from walking and that the police officers take out their guns and point them at Kiana.

"Shayna! You're all right! Where were you?" Kiana says as she walks closer to me. "Do you even know how worried I was!? And Shane! He hasn't slept since you left! I even had to give him some of my energy so he wouldn't collapse!" "I-I..." "What's wrong? Did something happen?" She says as she stops walking when she's in front of me. Suddenly Shane lands where Kiana did before.

"Shayna! You're okay!" He says, relief clearly audible in his voice. "You're not hurt, are you? What happened? Did somebody attack you?" He asks as he walks closer to me. "I just asked her the same thing before you came." Kiana says to him and look back at me. "So, did something happen?" She says as she moves her arm up. Just when she's about to put her hand on my shoulder, Shane stops walking and looks mad at me. Oh no. "Wait." He says which makes Kiana look at him.
