Amélie

Heyhey, so... 'Amélie'

     A newer broadway musical. Based off a movie. Starring Phillipa (Pippa) Soo as Amélie. The grown up Amélie. Well.. I suppose you can't really call her the "grown up" Amélie since she still has the wonder and imagination that young Amélie had. So I guess we should call her the older Amélie. Or just Amélie since that's the "present day" her.
Anyway, Pippa is also Elizabeth (Eliza) Schuyler-Hamilton in 'Hamilton'. That was her Broadway debut. And now she's playing Amélie.
I was bored and even though it was midnight i wanted to do something so I decided to watch 'Amélie' since I've seem ads for it and it looked interesting. I'm not done yet. I still have about 37 minutes left. It's not as interesting as I thought it would be. Well it is, it's also very random. I guess it's not what I was expecting it to be. I'm used to the very put-together 'Hamilton', 'Dear Evan Hansen', and 'In The Heights'. Storylines that are easy to follow. 'Amélie' is so.. random. It seems like someone took a bunch of different songs that sounded nice and put them together trying to make a storyline. It just is hard to follow. At least for me. Maybe it's because I've never watched the original movie. Though, I should be able to understand the storyline just from the musical since it's its own production.
Anyway, these are my thoughts for now. Maybe it'll grow on me. I don't know. We'll see.

Yeah, I felt very formal and felt like writing a review for 'Amélie' since it wasn't living up to my expectations and I was a bit disappointed. Anyway i should probably go to bed since it's 2:12 AM. So I guess that's all. Bye.
