What's happening?

I'm so upset

I dont know what to do

So i have these two friends. A, he's a junior. And L, she's a freshman. I've been friends with A for a little over half a year now. Him and L have been friends for a month and a half. I've been friends with L for three years.

So idk i guess A and L are closer friends and everything now. Which is great and amazing, but it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong.

L and I had a sleepover on friday and A called us. A few minutes in A asks L to take him off of speaker phone and then he tells her something and after L puts A back on speaker and the conversation just continues.

L tells me that A said "hey, i need to tell you something after school on monday" which i was like okay? And we were very nervous.

So today, monday, all three of us were sitting on this bench outside. L was hold my hand and A was leaning his head on my shoulder and it was nice.

Then A and L leave to go talk.

And they're gone for like 40 minutes.

Then they get back because we had a meeting in theatre and the whole time they're texting and they both looked stressed as hell. A's hands are shaking and L is squeezing my hand but when I ask them what's wrong they say they're fine, but they're clearly not

And i dont know what's wrong and I cant help but I guess the secret was a lot because after L had to use her inhaler and i gave A a hug and his heart was pounding.

So I've been freaking out because two of my close friends are dying but they wont even tell me what's wrong and i feel horrible.

I don't know if it's something I did? Or what I did to not be able to know the secret. I just want them to be okay but i dont know what to do.

I'm being a baby and crying.

I'm just so worried about them.

I hope they're going to be alright.
