Chapter 7

Eve's POV.

- Saturday -

"Okay, I'm gonna go change real quick." I said, and headed towards the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

"Kay." Aili replied, laying on my bed and her eyes glued to her phone.

I come out of the bathroom shortly, wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie. "Ready?" Aili looks up and she examines what I'm wearing, obviously disapproving.

"Oh, honey. Just no." She finally responds, getting up.

"Why, what's wrong with this?"

"This is your first date. Do you really want to look like that?"

"One; it's not a date... two; we're going to the movies. It's going to be dark. What's the point of looking nice?"

"Fine. At least look decent."

I gesture to my outfit. "This is decent!"

"Nope. Not for me. Come here."

She opens my closet and looks around to see what she can pull together.

"Okay, try these." She throws me my red flannel and washed out skinny jeans.

I groan, mainly because I don't like changing twice, and walk back into the bathroom.

I come out, and Aili looks at me with satisfaction.

"Okay, that's better. Now we gotta touch up your makeup, and do something to your hair. Maybe curl it?"

"I'll touch up my makeup myself, and I want my hair naturally straight, cause I'm trying not to put too much heat into it."

"Alright, gotcha. Then... you're all set!"

"Great. Thanks!"

After quickly touching up my makeup, I look at myself one last time in the mirror as a final check. Don't. Blow this.

"Okay, now are we ready?" I say, as I walked out of the bathroom for the third time in a row.

"Yup. Let's do this."

We hop into Aili's car and she drives us to the mall. The movie theater's right next to the mall, so I told Luke I'd meet him there.

"This is so cuuuute!!" Aili picks up a shirt from the rack.

"Yeah, that's super cute." I replied, still looking at other tops. "Okay, I'm gonna go pay for these, I'll be right back." I told her, heading to the back of the line. As the line moved up, I got a text from Luke;

Hey! I'm about five minutes away. Just thought you'd like to know :)

I respond with;

Cool! Just let me know when you're there :)

"So, I have five minutes."
