Eve's POV.
The next morning, I pulled into an empty spot in the parking garage and turned to unbuckle my seatbelt. When I turned back, my hand was already on the handle and last minute looked up to find a peeking Brooks gazing at me through the window. I freaked out and swung the door open by accident, knocking a very tall giant down. I quickly grab my bag and got out of my car.
"Oh my gosh, dude are you okay?" I blurted, kneeling down beside him. He didn't answer me back. I roughly nudged him to see if he'd wake, but he didn't. I started to shake his shoulder but he still didn't move.
"Brooks...!!" I started to panic, but he quickly sat up with an amused look plastered all over his face. "Gotcha."
I glare at him and slap his arm super hard, causing him to flinch. "That was so mean! I thought you actually passed out!"
"Sorry to disappoint." He shrugged.
I offer to help him up and he grabs my hand for support. "You're a really good actor. Have you ever been in Theater?"
"Uh, no. I always thought of Theater as, 'dramatic teens being overdramatic.' It's just not my thing. Also, I can't really be in front of a crowd."
I blankly stare at him. "First of all, that's what Theater is, but so much more than that. Second of all, what do you mean, you can't really be in front of a crowd? Stage fright, or what?"
"Wow, you're a nosy one aren't ya?"
"No, I'm just curious. There's a difference."
"I may have a little stage fright. But I also don't like, and don't know how to 'perform' in front of people."
"That can be easily fixed. Everyone in Theater is super loving. It's like one big family."
"Not my thing. You're in Theater?"
"Uh, YEAH, It's like my heart and soul. I was in the spring musical that just ended. You missed it, a shame."
"Really? Who do you play?"
"A police officer."
"Wow, fun."
"Yeah. We got to chase a pickpocket through the audience."
"Oh... That's um... fun."
"Yeah. Anyways, you should at least consider trying it out."
He thinks for a minute. "Mmm... Nah, I'm good."
I sigh. "Fine, it's not for everyone. Only the fun people, I guess."
He looks taken aback. "So what are you into?" We start walking to class as we talk.
"Um, I don't know... I'm in ROTC."
"Oh, a military man? Cool, that's what you wanna do after graduation?"
"Hopefully, maybe join the air force. I'm still debating, but so far that's what I'm concentrating on."
