Unforseen Love

Chapter 9

I wake up, seeing that it's now he middle of the night. I look around and see that everyone is sleeping except for Alex who was looking at the sky. I stand up, balancing on the branch still in panther form. Running, I leap across to his branch and lay in front of him.

He pets me and Luna decides it's best to purr. Soon enough I have fallen back asleep.

**Alexander's POV**

I lay on the branch, looking at the stars. As I began thinking about what where we would go, I see that Ashley had jumped over on the branch and was laying in front of me. I pet her and she begins to purr, soon enough falling asleep. I might as well get some rest since we probably have a long day ahead of us.

I close my eyes and drift off into sleep.

**Ashley's POV**

I wake up, the sun shining in my face. Standing up on the branch, I stretch. I look at Alex as he was still sleeping and I gently nudge him with my paw. He wakes up and looks at me sleepily.

"Morning." He mumbles as he stretches.

I knew he could get down himself and I leap across several branches before getting to the tree Caden was in. I gently nudge him to wake him up and he wakes up, looking at me. I tilt my head up as I motion towards my back.

He gets what I mean and gets on my back and I leap down off the branch, lading on all fours on the ground. As he climbs off, I shift back to my human form. Everyone else had woke up and we're now all down on the ground.

"So... Where are we going today?" Drew asks.

"I know these parts well since I had lived as a rouge and my old pack isn't that far from here. Actually my old pack should be right through these woods. So we can stay there... As long as my parents allow it. If not, we'll have to go back to the pack house." I say.

Everyone seems to agree and we all set off, stopping at a small creek to wash the mud off us from the previous day. After that, we made our way to my pack.

Several minutes later, we're all in my pack and everyone is staring. I just ignore them and fast walk towards the Blood Moon Pack house. And of course my family was outside. We make it to the entrance and I look at my parents.

"Mother, Father." I say as I look at them both.

"Ashley, what are you doing here? And who are these people?" My dad asks, anger lacing his tone.

"Well... This is Alexander, my mate. And then we have Cass and Drew. Jenna and Sam. And Austin and Belle." I motion to everyone as I say their names. "And the Silver Crescent Pack was attacked and we left, resulting in why we're here."

"You know you can't stay here, Ashley." My Father says to me.

"But Dad, We can't go back! They're probably waiting there to kill us! Where's the Dad that loved me? Huh?" I had started to raise my voice at him. Alex stopped my from saying anything else and went up to my dad and began talking to him.

My dad seemed to understand. "You guys can stay, but only for a day. Tomorrow you will have to leave." He says and leads us all inside to where my brother was sitting on the couch with my little sister. My sister was nine now and my brother was twenty-four. My dad shows us to our rooms and shows everyone where everything was.

After the 'little' tour, I go back to the room Alex and I were staying in.

"Today has been so exhausting." I mutter, flopping down onto the bed. Alex just laughs.

"I just want to sleep." I say as I close my eyes.

Alex had different plans and he decided to hit me in the face with a pillow and I sit upright on the bed.

"Seriously?!" I shout as I grab a pillow and whack him across the face with it.
Soon, both of us were in a one-on-one pillow fight and I could hear giggling in the doorway. I looked to see the source of the giggling and noticed my little sister, Casey. I smirked, picking up a small pillow and throwing it at her.

"You're so mean to me!" She puts before turning her back to us. I laugh at her before going back to hit Alex with the pillow, but he wasn't in fro t of me anymore. I frown and look for him. Out of nowhere, I'm hit in the back with a pillow and I fall dramatically to the floor where I lay with my eyes closed.

"Ashley, are you okay?" I hear Alex ask and I dont respond. I let out a small laugh and without realizing it, I had fallen asleep on the floor.
